Greetings to you my dear hivers, How are you all doing? It's been a month since I last updated. As a graduating student, I was very busy. I had a lot to finish to make sure I would be one of the graduates for this year.
For today's post, I'll be sharing with you my Saturday date with my cousins, which also happened to be the last one we'll have with my younger brother before he departs for Canada to study.
A month ago, the school to which my brother had applied accepted him. Later, his student visa was approved, allowing him to travel to Canada to begin his studies.
We planned to go on a date with our cousins a week before my brother leaves for Canada because we won't be able to hang out with him for years.
Since we live far away from one another, we decided to just meet up there at Ayala. We were hungry as it was already time for lunch, so we first went to look for a nice place to eat, and we found this placeNew York Buffalo Brad's Hot Wings.
While waiting for our order, we talked a lot since the last time we saw each other was just last year, so we had a lot to talk about. There were plenty of customers too in the store, so I guess they serve tasty meals.
There were many flavors on their menu to choose from, but they chose to order half a dozen chicken wings flavored sweet and spicy, half a dozen classic buffalo, and another half dozen with honey mustard flavor. For the drinks, we had iced tea and pineapple juice.
Since I don't like to eat a lot when I am out, I just ordered a value meal that contains rice, a chicken wing, and a drumette, and I added on some french fries paired with a very cold iced tea.
And because we were so hungry, as soon as we received the food, after taking one photo, not even one person talked while eating, everybody was busy eating. I liked the chicken. It was very crispy and juicy. I tried other flavors too and I love all of them, but my favorite is the one I ordered. It suits my taste very well.
I can't believe they managed to eat all of the chicken wings they ordered. All I can say is that this place serves tasty chicken. There are a lot of flavors to choose from. I'd love to try them all, but I wouldn't be able to do it all in one go, so next time we come back, I'll try the other flavors too. They also offer other foods like ribs, spaghetti, carbonara, and sausage sandwiches.
After eating, we slowly walked to Ayala Mall's central block when the rain suddenly poured down, so we had to walk fast even though we were still full. We didn't have a choice, we'd get wet.
We drank a lot of juice and water, like a lot, so you know what happens. Why are we always tempted to take a photo when we see a big mirror?
After that, we decided to go up to look for something we could do. We wanted to play at the trampolines, but the queues were too long, so we looked for another place to play. Then we heard a noise, so we looked for it and found this 9D Virtual Reality Ride.
They have a list of what worlds you would like, and they have many categories too. There are six seats, but unfortunately, the other two aren't working, so my eldest cousin and I decided to do it later and let our four younger cousins do it first, which was interesting to see how their bodies react as the ride progressed.
After them, we took over and chose the around-the-world roller coaster that will take 5 minutes to ride. The experience was lit like it was not even real, but I feel like I am having a heart attack every time it goes down. The chair also moves like it was throwing me out of my seat.
It was fun yet embarrassing because many people were waiting and watching how we scream in our tiny voices and how we are so stiff and held on to the chair the whole time. After that play, we went to Timezone, which is an arcade place everyone's go-to when with friends or cousins.
Of course, we had to make a stop and play with this claw machine and try to get one of those cute little stuffed toys, but we weren't able to get one, so we walked out and looked for other machines to play with.
So we played the other two game machines and we always hit the jackpot, so we had a lot of tickets. It was a very fun start to the game.
Since we had two boys with us, we asked them to try the hammer machine, which tests your strength and power, and man, my brother's score is just like mine. He looks cute with all the power he has. We burst out laughing. Then he reasoned that he was not ready and that he had not used all his strength. Then our cousin had a pretty high score.
Then we went to play basketball, and here's me trying to shoot. Even with all the correct postures and techniques that they taught me, I still wasn't able to shoot more than 15. I am bad at sports😩.
We also played car racing one-on-one and power pong, where the loser had to carry all the tickets we had.
I was getting tired with all the games we played and they called me to strike a pose and, omg, I looked like a tired mom, almost mad and giving the eye to her children, like telling them to stop whatever they're doing as I am not fine with it.
Tan-tananan-tanaaan! We are counting now the tickets we had. I forgot the total count, but we had a lot.
Filipinos love to sing. We love going to karaoke, especially with our family. Every time we spend time together, especially on Christmas or New Year, we always sing. We love having concerts on our own.
Our final stop is the photo booth. The booth was so small that we had to squeeze ourselves inside just so we could take a photo. What's funny is that we had to retake and retake the taking of photos since it's hard to show all of our faces in the small space. As we went out, we were covered in sweat.
We kept laughing as we went out, talking about the faces we had in the booth and how we looked in the photo. We planned on having dinner first before parting ways, but my brother's orientation for his school in Canada was approaching, so we decided to go home so he wouldn't be late.
It was a very fun day and one of the most memorable days I had. We gave the other photo to my brother so he could take it to Canada and remember how fun that day was. We are going to miss him so much, and I know he will too.
