Meet the Doctor then Sasau Saunyuk

Two days ago, we took Eiona to see the doctor. She was getting better, and my wife took her to school today. However, while at school, her fever came back suddenly. My wife thought it might be tonsillitis, so she made another doctor’s appointment today to check on her. At 11:30 AM, we set out on a 45-kilometer journey to town to get treatment for Eiona. The weather was hot and dry, with no sign of rain all day. The good weather made our drive to the clinic quite pleasant.

When we arrived at clinic, Rex, Rez and I stayed in the car while my wife took Eiona inside. The 1.5-hour journey was tiring for me, probably because I was hungry. The heavy traffic didn’t help either, making me sleepy. I decided to take a nap in the car while Rez and Rex played on their phones, keeping an eye out to wake me if needed. They had already slept earlier during the drive to the clinic.

Thankfully, after Eiona was checked, it wasn’t tonsillitis, just a regular fever. The doctor gave her fever medicine and told us to return in two days if her fever didn’t go down. Before lunch, we stopped by a few places to pick up items we had ordered online. Shopping is so convenient these days, but it’s easy to spend money quickly haha.

For lunch, we went to Hakka Food Court. This place is great because it offers a variety of dishes from different chefs, mostly Chinese cuisine. One standout feature here is the giant ceiling fan. The first time we brought Eiona here, she was so excited about the fan, but now she’s used to it. Eiona chose fried noodles, which I was thankful for since she still had an appetite despite not feeling well. Rez ordered his favorite, rice with fried chicken, while Rex had sasau saunyuk rice and then added more meat later. He had a big appetite today. I was happy to see them eating well.

The drink options were also impressive, and they even served fresh coconuts cracked open on the spot. While the food is a bit pricey, one of the most expensive in town, it’s worth it once in a while. What matters is that everyone’s stomachs are full, and the kids are happy.

I had planned to do some gardening in the afternoon since it was sunny earlier, but on our way home around 3 pm, it started raining heavily. The downpour made driving difficult, so the gardening had to wait. After we got home and I took a shower, I lay down for a short rest but ended up falling asleep until evening. My wife didn’t wake me up because she said I looked really tired.

That evening, I took care of my usual cleaning routine. Unlike Rex and Rez, who immediately jumped on the PS5 after their showers, and Eiona, who was on her phone, my wife spent her time scrolling through Facebook. Meanwhile, I enjoyed a deep, peaceful sleep haha.
