Bugged Out! My Quest for a Macro Shot Gets Sidetracked by a Ladybug

A ladybug walked over my kitchen window, leaving a little spot of red against the bright glass.

This was it—the ideal opportunity to get a close-up!

With excitement flowing through me, I reached for my Canon M50.

But it appeared that fate had different ideas.

The ladybug landed perfectly on my lens, a malicious twinkle in its beady eyes (or maybe it was simply the sunlight sparkling off its shell).

Instead, startled but amused, I quickly took a picture with my phone.
