This week's battle mage secrets focuses on the Silenced Summoner Ruleset.
Ruleset Details
The Silenced Summoner ruleset in Splinterlands neutralises the abilities of summoners; therefore, summoners cannot impart any buffs, debuffs, or special abilities to the monsters. One important strategy is to prioritize monsters that can provide buffs or debuffs. For example, using monsters like Defender of Truth, which offers a team-wide armor boost, or Molten Ogre, which reduces melee damage. This ruleset also highlights the value of Legendary and Epic-level summoners who, despite lacking stat buffs or abilities, allow the use of higher-level monsters.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
In this battle, we had a trio of rulesets -- Equalizer, Silenced Summoner and FabFour so no summoner benefits and low-mana cap which has the potential to feature lower mana-cap monsters. In the Fire unit, I will always default to using Cerberus due to its speed and melee damage and self-healing. The rest of the line-up was made up of monsters with buffs/debuffs that benefit the team. Nonetheless, this strategy wasn't enough as the opposition just had higher-level monsters who did more damage. Also, it was frustrating to have Pyrewatch Devil who started the battle with 7 health and landed up in position with 12 health and was unable to do anything. Alas, back to the drawing board!
Do You Like the Silenced Summoners Ruleset? Why or Why Not?
Personally, I find this ruleset to be great. It levels the playing field by shifting away from summoner-centric gameplay especially when you see those OP summoner and monster combinations constantly in battle. It ensures that no player can dominate purely based on their summoner choice. This equality can make battles more competitive and enjoyable, as victories are determined by strategic monster selection and effective use of abilities rather than the inherent power of summoners.
