So I took a short break from kdramas and longer series, this movie was recommended and I didn't hold back from seeing it as I've been following up on it until the third release. I'm actually surprised there was a "Descendants 3" and I'm only finding out after I've seen "Descendants 4" lol. So yeah, I'll have to go back to see the previous one.
Well, it doesn't remove or even reduce the excitement I had in seeing the fourth release. It is just as interesting as the first two I've seen but if I would rank the three, the first one is still the best among them. Of course, it's just my thought, the other parts are well acted too.
For "Descendants: The Rise Of Red", I had some kinda high expectations even though I didn't read the storyline or even see a trailer before I decided to see it. I just thought it would be just as amazing as the other two I had seen.
The movie is a disney original movie released in this month, July. So you could say I'm among the many who saw it first after it is released in the cinemas lol. It's like a continuation to the other parts of Descendants but one could start from any of them and still feel the excitement from it. Of course, I'd recommend you see everyone of them accordingly for better excitement hehe.
As for this fourth release, it's not so bad at all. I love the comedy and songs featured in it, anyone who know about "Descendants" would know about their lovely songs, this was no different at all although I have only one favourite from all the songs featured in this one.
The storyline is cool, although not unique but it is still going to be worth your time to see it... A rebellious daughter and a perfectionist daughter have to work together, time travel to the past to undo and correct an event that turned a sweet person into a villain.
There is the feature of **"Queen of Hearts", "Cinderella" having kids who dresses like them and are expected to be like them. There is also Oma from the first three parts who is in charge of the school (Auradon) and I love that she brought in her usual vibe with one of my best songs from the first release on this one too.
The time travel part of the story was a major part of the movie but not the most eventful, the place where the time travel begun and ended is the most eventful part of the movie. The final song is beautiful, everyone's happy and the movie gave a good happy ending but not without a warning as usual hehe.
I've seen a lot of time travel movies and I know exactly what it means by, time traveling is a dangerous thing whether you time travel to the past or the future. The two were able to change things by time traveling to the past but we can definitely expect some major turnouts if there is going to be a next release of "Descendants".
In all, it was a good break time movie from my kdrama series and I think it's going to be worth your time as well. Do check it out and let me know if you've seen it already, what rating would you give it compared to the other releases? It's 7/10 from me.
