The Beginning On Hive - How I Started A Year Ago

Everything in life has it's beginning, same goes with joining Hive. At the point of signing up, a new beginning started. No doubt, sometimes these beginnings may be rough while some have theirs going smooth for them. I wouldn't mind to say mine was smooth, even not as much as some others had their own smooth beginning but it wasn't too rough for me at the beginning.

Thanks to @kenechukwu97 who introduced and taught me a lot about Hive, I joined and explore the platform on my own as he instructed (He didn't want himself doing all the work and I end up learning nothing) so I did all the learning myself but he was so open to answer all my silly questions about things I wasn't clear on.

My beginning started with an introduction post, after exploring and came to understand that I needed to introduce myself to fit in... I went for it almost a week after I signed up. My first post came in after I got involved with engagement in others post, that explains the massive love in the comments section on my first post. The votes too gave me a sign of good beginning.

I was so happy with my first post votes, so excited that I kept checking to confirm the day of payout since I heard it would be a seven days interval thing. The day finally came and I went to wallet to see almost half the price I had saw in my intro post 😂 I got confused for some minutes until my guide explained to me that I can only get half the price of votes on my posts. It felt good claiming those rewards that day.

I learnt about how important it is to power up and the special day for powering up, I made sure to get some Hive to power up that day. My first power up wasn't much but I felt so good to see my name among those who powered up that day and it made me keep up the spirit to continue to power up for more Hive power.

And my beginning paid off for me, you needed to see the joy on my face when I got the alert of my money, money I made from just writing on a platform... It felt really good. A friend of mine got convinced that day about Hive, I just wished she had not wait till my first withdrawal but still, I was so proud to show her my free money (I called it free money then) 😂

From all I've said about my beginning, you'd see that I said "I felt good" in almost all the sentences because that was exactly how my beginning was for me. It was like everything on Hive wanted me to stay at the first few months I got in and I kept at it feeling encouraged at all times.

But I won't say, I didn't have some stops during my beginning. There were a few times I thought of just taking a break and sometimes prefer spending time on other platform than on Hive... Yeah, I had such a time.

After my first post, I thought that was it... I was going to have good votes on most of my posts if not all, I mean yeah... I was told that not every day will be good on Hive for me but I carried on with the positivity that I would keep getting good votes since I was making sure of posting quality ones.

I later realised that I was wrong to think that, it got hard to get a good vote on my post until I found out about the newbies initiative by @starstrings01 The programme made my stay on Hive at the beginning a very smooth one. I was able to overcome the worries of not getting good votes since there were times I had very good votes, they just balance up in my head.

Another difficulty I faced was navigating through the communities, knowing the right communities to share my posts on and the right tags to use. I got my first downvote on a post I posted to a wrong community and that almost killed my morale to post in the community again. They gave so much warnings to me and made me scared of posting my next write up but I overcome it and continued... It's still paying off up till.

Sometimes, I think back to last year when I joined Hive and try to imagine how it would have been if I had given up on Hive because of the little circumstances I faced... I'm so grateful I didn't and I can't ignore the fact that a lot of people here helped me get to where I am today.

Todo en la vida tiene su comienzo, lo mismo ocurre con unirse a Hive. En el momento de registrarse, comenzó un nuevo comienzo. Sin duda, a veces estos comienzos pueden ser duros, mientras que a algunos les va bien. No me importaría decir que el mío fue suave, incluso no tanto como algunos otros tuvieron su propio comienzo suave, pero no fue demasiado duro para mí al principio.

Gracias a @kenechukwu97 que me presentó y me enseñó mucho sobre Hive, me uní y exploré la plataforma por mi cuenta como él me indicó (no quería que él mismo hiciera todo el trabajo y terminé aprendiendo nada), así que hice todo el aprendizaje. yo mismo, pero estaba tan abierto a responder todas mis preguntas tontas sobre cosas que no tenía claras.

Mi comienzo comenzó con una publicación de presentación, después de explorar y llegué a comprender que necesitaba presentarme para encajar... Lo hice casi una semana después de registrarme. Mi primera publicación llegó después de que me involucré con la participación en la publicación de otros, eso explica el enorme amor en la sección de comentarios de mi primera publicación. Los votos también me dieron una señal de buen comienzo.

Estaba tan feliz con los votos de mi primera publicación, tan emocionado que seguí verificando para confirmar el día del pago ya que escuché que sería un intervalo de siete días. Finalmente llegó el día y fui a la billetera para ver casi la mitad del precio que había visto en mi publicación de introducción 😂 Me confundí por unos minutos hasta que mi guía me explicó que solo puedo obtener la mitad del precio de los votos en mis publicaciones. Se sintió bien reclamar esas recompensas ese día.

Aprendí lo importante que es encender y el día especial para encender, me aseguré de conseguir algo de Hive para encender ese día. Mi primer encendido no fue mucho, pero me sentí muy bien al ver mi nombre entre los que se energizaron ese día y me hizo mantener el espíritu para continuar energizándome para obtener más poder de la colmena.

Y mi comienzo valió la pena para mí, necesitabas ver la alegría en mi rostro cuando recibí la alerta de mi dinero, dinero que gané simplemente escribiendo en una plataforma... Me sentí muy bien. Un amigo mío se convenció ese día sobre Hive, solo deseaba que no hubiera esperado hasta mi primer retiro, pero aún así, estaba muy orgulloso de mostrarle mi dinero gratis (lo llamé dinero gratis entonces) 😂

De todo lo que he dicho sobre mi comienzo, verás que dije "me sentí bien" en casi todas las oraciones porque así fue exactamente como fue mi comienzo para mí. Era como si todo en Hive quisiera que me quedara en los primeros meses que entré y seguí sintiéndome animado en todo momento.

Pero no diré, no tuve algunas paradas durante mi comienzo. Hubo algunas veces en las que pensé en simplemente tomar un descanso y, a veces, prefiero pasar el tiempo en otra plataforma que en Hive... Sí, lo pasé así.

Después de mi primera publicación, pensé que eso era todo... Iba a tener buenos votos en la mayoría de mis publicaciones, si no en todas, quiero decir, sí... Me dijeron que no todos los días serían buenos para mí en Hive, pero Seguí con la positividad de que seguiría recibiendo buenos votos ya que me aseguraba de publicar votos de calidad.

Más tarde me di cuenta de que estaba equivocado al pensar eso, fue difícil obtener una buena votación en mi publicación hasta que descubrí la iniciativa de novatos de @starstrings01 El programa hizo que mi estadía en Hive al principio fuera muy tranquila. Pude superar las preocupaciones de no obtener buenos votos ya que hubo momentos en que tuve muy buenos votos, simplemente se equilibran en mi cabeza.

Otra dificultad que enfrenté fue navegar a través de las comunidades, conocer las comunidades correctas para compartir mis publicaciones y las etiquetas correctas para usar. Recibí mi primer voto negativo en una publicación que publiqué en una comunidad equivocada y eso casi mató mi moral para publicar en la comunidad nuevamente. Me dieron muchas advertencias y me dieron miedo de publicar mi próximo artículo, pero lo superé y continué... Todavía está dando sus frutos hasta el momento.

A veces, pienso en el año pasado cuando me uní a Hive y trato de imaginar cómo hubiera sido si hubiera renunciado a Hive debido a las pequeñas circunstancias que enfrenté... Estoy tan agradecida de no haberlo hecho y puedo No ignore el hecho de que mucha gente aquí me ayudó a llegar a donde estoy hoy.
