Vibes web3 music competition week #8, for this week, I'll be doing a classic by James Brown " It's A Man's Man's Man's World" which was released in the year 1966. I chose this song because firstly it goes in line with the theme of this week which is 60s vibes, and secondly, because I fell in love with it immediately after it came on.
You know there are some songs you just love but don't really know the lyrics lol.
Yup, I thought I was a pro at this one, I only realized I couldn't sing the whole song from the beginning to the end with just the instrumental hahaha.
I practiced this song for some days, which is unlike me. I have to admit that this has to be the toughest song I've done so far. After so many takes, I finally did it yay!!.
Just as the lyrics say, it's a Man's world, but it would mean nothing without a woman. This song talks about Civilization,(man-made cars, toys, trains, electric lights) and how it all attributes to man, but it would all mean nothing without a woman or a girl.
While some people still think the song is sexist, I Believe it's not. It's more like a husband giving credit to his wife for his achievements, That doesn't mean she didn't put in any effort, it just shows how valuable and important she is.
All the cars and everything man-made would be nothing without a woman or a girl.
"It's A Man's Man's Man's World"
This is a man's world, this is a man's world
But it wouldn't, it wouldn't be nothing
Nothing without a woman or a girl
You see, man made the cars to take us over the road
Man made the trains to carry the heavy load
I hope you like my cover of this song😊, and thanks for watching ❤️✨
I tried my best to keep my face straight while recording, but the song wouldn't let me 😂😂
