An Angel's Love

They flew effortlessly through the clouds. Without any constraints, they were both in their prime. An undying love they both shared. A love that made the future seem unimportant, all that mattered was the love they shared despite their differences.

Jumo and Jossie fell in love when they both met on earth. Jumo was fishing when he tripped into the river and got stuck in his own nets. He was about to drown but he was saved by a spiritual being. It had wings and it shined so bright like the sun. It was a female angel and she was so beautiful.

It was love at first sight. She flew him home that night, where they both spent the night together.
But there was one problem.

Jossie couldn't survive on earth as she was an angel and her creator forbade her kind from having relationships with humans , she could only visit once every 2 years. So she wrote him a letter, one that could summon her for just two minutes during a full moon.

Jumo walked the park that evening with the letter in his hands. He found a dark and secluded sit close to the lake, where he sat and started reading out loud.

It read…

My dear love Jumo,

Pleasure turns to the pain of the lessons learned from the strain of the questions burned in my Divine brain, about whether to love is humane in its touch. My thoughts about you are like salmon swimming upstream in the tears of our own deceit, fighting the current hurt that kills more than is created by the chaos of our intertwined emotions.

This journey might be chaotic because The anchor of our creator has been plucked from the vessel of my undying love for you. Separation not as simple as the distance between us, my mind no longer possessed by the demons and doubts, that has been the overseers to my enslavement to your soul and body, an enslavement that could last till the very end.

Doubts and bridges stand in between our love like a thick wall, they have tried to crack the foundation of the love we forever share. The Divine creator's will is to end our relationship, he has tried to rip out all the beautiful imaginations we both share. I am left surrounded in darkness, but I will always refuse to be swallowed by it.

Without you here, my emptiness feels like the night air, invisible to the eye, oblivious to one's touch,in its cold uncomfortableness.

I will do this everyday with you, hopefully in the same skin that I am in. I will lay down with you and let love lead, we could run the fields and let our love roam free. Although we share a forbidden and hopeless love, I will never leave you because nothing else could taste this warm or feel this sweet.

I Love you Jumo…

Tears dripped from Jumo's eyes as he wrapped the letter and put it back into his pocket. His only desire now was to see Jossie and embrace her forever.

He could feel Jossie's presence, but she was nowhere to be found.

A very sad tale, @milezofplay. Anytime someone loves another being who is remote, or out of their league, the result will be despair and pain.

How sad ... and yet, what a beautiful story ... well done!

Tsk. An all-powerful godly being a sour grape and getting in the way of other people. He should just let those two love birds alone. What kind of creator is he if he couldn't allow two people in love to be together. I really wished the story ended with Jumo and Jossie being together but I guess somethings are not meant to be.

You have created for us a story that parallels the arc of many myths. An immortal falls in love with a mortal and the divine rule forbids the love. Actually, the story of forbidden love is as old as the human race. You give us the tragic consequence of such a love. One can wish to defy the norm, but in the end, defiance often is not a path to success. Jossie was nowhere to be found and we suspect this will be the circumstance going into the future.
