There was utter silence in the room.
Jamie couldn't see anything, the room was pitch black, he couldn't hear anything, just utter silence. His mind was filled with lots of ugly thoughts. There were no sounds or presence in the room, just an eerie frightening silence.
"Where am I? ", he whispered to himself. He tried opening his eyes and he could only see an open window, an old couch and a stool. He tried adjusting his eyes to the darkness, but he couldn't still see anything reasonable. The thought of moving his body came to his mind but he couldn't. He adjusted his head and he could see that his hands and legs were both tied up. He tried to scream but he couldn't.
He pulled with all his strength , but his efforts were useless. It was at this moment that reality dawned on him. He was trapped in a room with an unknown person, and that thought made goosebumps appear all over his body.
Jamie suddenly remembered what happened the night before, him and his friends had been on a hunt for an evil spirit that had been terrorizing the town for months. Most witnesses who claimed to have seen it, said it looked like a masquerade with multiple colors.
Whenever it was seen by anyone the evil spirit casts a spell making the person disappear into thin air. In four months 20 people had already gone missing. Jamie remembered how he and two of his friends had cornered the spirit, they almost captured it, And now here he was tied in an empty room.
Suddenly the door opened and the evil spirit stepped in, wearing an all black attire with a black mask. It had long fangs and dirty canines. It made strange sounds as it made its way to the couch. It seemed to be enjoying the moment as it made some weird dance moves before it sat down.
"What are you, and what do you want from me?" Jamie asked with his voice trembling. " Kiki Kiki Kiki Kiki", it made sounds like it was laughing at Jamie. " I should be asking you, you and your friends tried to capture me and now you are here" the spirit said as it grinned. Although it was really ugly and terrifying, its voice was as calm as water.
Jamie had a strange feeling, he was scared but at the same time he recognized its voice. It sounded like his best friend Julie. But Julie had been missing for over 10 years now. "Where are my friends!" Jamie yelled at it. "Your friends?", "who are your friends?", the spirit asked. " My friends, the one you kidnapped with me". " I don't kidnap people my friend, I only take people to play with me" the spirit replied. " Your friends are safe, but don't push me".
Jamie felt a little relieved, hearing that his friends were safe, but he wondered what it meant by taking people to play with.
Jamie looked closely at the evil spirit and he still noticed the resemblance with his lost friend Julie. It couldn't be, he thought.
At that moment the spirit stood up from the couch and made his way towards jamie, he was so scared, he didn't know when the name "Julie" left his mouth. Suddenly the spirit jumped back, like something scared it.
It made horrible sounds like it was in pain. It seemed as if it was transforming. It's fangs and canines disappeared and within seconds it had fully transformed back into Julie. He quickly untied Jamie and they both left to get the others in the next room.
After everything, Julie told them the story of how he was cursed by a witch for eating her sacrifice. She caused him to roam about the forest looking for children to kidnap and play with for the rest of his life. The only way out of his curse was for his name to be called by his best friend.
