[Be] 'Fly' in Nature

in #hive-1948482 years ago

I've created a video of my slow and easy Qi Gong practice. I would be happy if you follow the routine;)

Ecotherapy makes me 'fly'.

The deep connection and comfort I feel with being outdoors are conducive to my alternative therapies, which are beneficial for my holistic health. Spending my time in nature gives me the mental clarity needed for coherent flowing thoughts, and improved emotional intelligence.

Life's challenges mixed with endless external annoyances and distractions can become overwhelming, so having a good understanding of myself and my needs was the vital tool that I needed to cope and look after myself.

Strengthening my mind for increased focus is a part of my daily habits, which happens during my practices, and also in my everyday life.

I recently resumed my daily Qi Gong routine, which I incorporate with having quiet mornings for moments of gratitude, focus, and determination toward my goals and daily agenda.

The serenity of the morning energy makes it the perfect time for me to do my Qi Gong practice, as the mornings here in Jamaica tend to be cooler and the afternoon humidity can be overbearing at times, especially when practising outdoors. Therefore, it's important to keep hydrated (even in cooler climates).

Qi Gong, is an internal therapy achieved through external activities that help to create energy.

It's vital to cultivate the right energy within me, and also to protect the energy around me; Qi Gong includes controlled deep breathing, meditation, and synchronized movement with breathing.

The effects of Qi gong and the positive energy that we breathe in can be felt immediately. The practice of controlling the breath, meditation, and slowly synchronizing the movement with the breath, fills up my dantians (energy storage). This helps to balance the main internal organs along the meridian of my body for a good flow of energy.

"One of the things I love the most about Qi Gong is that it's a full-body workout that requires nothing but my presence, focus, time, willpower, and motivation to heal myself from within."

We are the only ones who have full control of our minds, thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

No matter how much others might have the ability to apply empathy and try to read others' body language, we need to acknowledge that we are the only ones in full control of our minds. My psychological makeup prefers solitude, so maintaining a calm, and harmonious environment is important to me, and Qi Gong is an ideal activity for me to achieve this.

Qi Gong increases my sensory-motor skills, which enables me to detect inflated egos and diverge verbal diarrhoea from cluttering my mind.

(Practising in shoes is my preferred way. I just needed to feel the earth beneath my feet for that particular video;)... and just a joke...I did the entire video above and did not realise till when I was editing, that I'd ripped my crotch open, so I had to redo the video.)

With Qi Gong, you are taught the fundamental basics and the rest depends on you. Being able to refer to my photos and videos is a great way for me to assess the areas of improvement that are needed in my body and movements. It's also a great way for me to look back and compare the photos to get a true appreciation of where my body opens up from continuous practice.

I've cut the video above down to thirteen minutes (what the fuck am I thinking right?)

... As if you're gonna sit and watch the entire thing?

Ha! I trust you will... and when you do, please start with doing a modification of movement that feels comfortable for your body.

Peace 🙏

I have bookmarked this as I really do want to want to try this practice. I remember another video you done ages ago, I think perhaps it was the first time I commented on one of your posts. Thanks so much for this. Much love xxxxxxx

It's my pleasure, and I appreciate the reblog.😊
Remember to go easy with the poses. No strain, and on some days some poses will be easier than others.

... and deep breaths throughout your practice.

When I think of how much this practice has helped me, I'm delighted to share it with everyone that I meet.
Much love to you too xxxx

it sounds like an interesting practice> I like that it incorporates the mind, body and spirit. Anything that can keep us active while simultaneously grounding us is a good thing in my opinion.

did not realise till when I was editing, that I'd ripped my crotch open, so I had to redo the video

lmao 😅😂 that is pretty funny.

I'm thankful every day that I discovered Qi Gong. The weirdest thing is that when I was doing an online diploma course, I was a little lost with it. A German guy who moved in next door who was a master practitioner in Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, and he took me under his wings and led me to the right path 🙏

Haha! When I first noticed that a light colour, I thought, that has got to be a reflection from the sun. Then I checked the suit from the washer and realised it had indeed been split open 🤣

It's nice that you got some help along the way 👍

Yeah, the timing was perfect. I could not believe my luck 🙏

No, I did not watch all of it, just 4 mins.... it is beautiful, magnificent, what else can I say? 🙏 Namaste!

😍

Thank you:)))
Four mins were enough.😊 ... However, if you're ever feeling overwhelmed, you can always pop by at any time to watch the crane movement from 7:05 minutes of the video 😉... you'll be soothed by it and tempted to fly:)

Probably I better reblog this visual, to have it always at my hands.
Indeed, I'd be feeling overwhelmed often. (Just cant go out of situation to embrace the nature and meditate, immerse yourself in the way you do...)

...and now Hive !PIZZA goes your way, to match tomorrow's coffee

I appreciate the reblog.

I do this even on a plane outside the toilet out of sight of my husband 🤣 ... so I'm sure you could start in your living room 😆

Enjoy 😍

😋 Yum! Pizza 😘

So relaxing to look at, @millycf1976. I haven't tried this before only basic yoga. Are the two related in any way?

Hmm, you could say that both Yoga and Qi Gong are connected or have similarities or are related in some way.

Yoga is mainly traditional Indian philosophy, whereas Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese therapy/Medicine.

I did the first session of Qi Gong with my sister this morning, but I realised that for this type of Qi Gong in the video, she could benefit from doing some yoga before (more for better awareness of the body and capabilities)

Really cool stuff! Body holds are the best way to train the body, working on both core muscles and strength. Nice choice of track too, it fits the tone!

Thanks 😊

I really enjoyed doing this video. It's the first time that I showed the actual show movement. I always speed up the videos.

I couldn't find any Tibetan bowls track, but that one worked fine too:)

Happy Holidays to you and family:)))

I hope is not too late to comments lols,
This is my first time hearing and seeing Qi Gong practice no one is highland of knowledge i must say because I'm also into all this therapy in fact I'm a coach of one martial arts called Tae-kwon-do but i never get to know about this.

You have just taught me something so beneficial and I'm so glad i came across this on your blog .

I will try as much as i can to practice this and see if i will be able to get it

Thanks for sharing the useful post it's means alot

I'm happy that you are now aware of Qi Gong which has been beneficial to me.
I think you'll get on well with it since Martial Arts are your interest. There are many videos that you could follow on youtube. I particularly enjoy doing the Five Animal Qi Gong (Wudang Style), however, there are numerous styles of Qi Gong.

Thanks for the comments... it's never too late:)))

Nice location Milly, thats a good thing to do, i need to get back on good routine. Hope you been good, have a good rest of the year ya bosslady.

!LUV

Thank you:)
I do hope you'll get back into a good routine... and yes, I'm enjoying the location here in my backyard. It's great to be back in Jamaica:)))

This brings back so many memories from my time in China! Everyday, very very early in the morning I would see people gather in parks and roadsides or open spaces and practice Qi Gong. The music they used to play were some of the most soothing tunes I have heard in my life. The only other noise used to be birds chirping away - an experience that can never be fully put into words. Ah the nostalgia!

Yeah, I bet it was a beautiful experience:)
I like to listen to Tibetan Bowls or Bells when doing Qi Gong. It's very soothing. I also listen to it all day while working.
Relaxing sounds help to trigger happy emotions.
My big dream would be to live in the Wudang Mountains doing Qi Gong training for a few months... Maybe someday 🤞
