No one gets Web 3 like a Hive owner, simply because they live it, what can beat that? The term Web 3.0 is such a new paradigm that most of the tech world are still at the level of conceptualizing what it means.
No one gets Web 3 like a Hive owner, Hive is a censorship resistant ecosystem bereft of traditional economic practices and VC’s with decentralization at its core, community(ies) and advanced technical capabilities like fast and feeless transactions, essentially, a standard proponent of Web 3.
Conceptually, I’ll like to think of web 3 as a technical paradigm shift where people have access to tools that help them achieve self sovereignty and have full control of their identity online. This is largely being heralded by blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.
In the past couple of days, the hot topics of conversation between tech leaders in the space have been about Web 3.
Elon called out Twitter for not respecting Free speech through a poll that majority voted in support of and also suggested that the “public town square” which Twitter poses to be should be replaced by a new one.
A new one will require to be bereft of centralized practices which can only be achieved through blockchain technology in order to attain decentralization.
Hive is presently the best and most equipped framework that can power what Elon is all on about, one would think someone out of his research team would have told him, but unfortunately, they are all clueless.
Just the other day it was Jack Dorsey talking about how Web 3 is centralized and practically the same thing as Web 2 and both were just different words. Can they be blamed? Web 3 to these “tech leaders” is only a concept as it is to many other people, they haven’t lived it like Hive owners have.
Funny thing is that people under the tweet were clamoring for Elon to buy Twitter and I can’t help but wonder how that solves anything. Take Twitter from a centralized control and put it into the hands of another centralized control and label it Web 3? What do people drink these days?
So I’ve come to a resolution, I really do hope Elon is up to something other than clout chasing. If he truly has honest intentions to decentralize “Twitter” in the whole Web 3 framework, then awesome, after seeing a glimpse of what Web 3 encapsulates through Hives lens, then what will be coming will just be as amazing.
If anything, it is safe to think that whatever “they” come up with will be better than what already is, this is good news, it means, we will probably, firstly, own our content and secondly have full access to monetizing it like we do on Hive.
I mean, it has to be better right? For them to keep ignoring Hives existence like it is vapourware, then whatever they bring out must have its own decentralized blockchain economy and a better model of token distribution that beats Hive’s upvote system, oh yeah it has to be tokenized too...with fast and feeless transactions.
It won’t have VC’s as Jack has repeatedly mentioned and people will have full control of their assets and content, ultimately it will ensemble a standard proponent of Web 3 that will become part of the suite of tools that helps people to achieve self sovereignty. Right? right? Right!
Which will just be totally awesome, it’ll mean I’ll have as much opportunity to build wealth as I have on Hive.
If so, any other thing asides from this will be a counterfeit and we Hive owners will continually call them out and show people what Web 3 really is through Hive.
