Do you play video games? I don't play video games at all these days, but I used to play them every day when I was a child. When I was a kid, playing video games was the main way I spent time with my friends. Being born and raised in Osaka, Japan, I was a bit further away from nature than I am now in Stockholm. I didn't live in a place like Stockholm, where lakes and forests were only a few minutes' walk away. I had to take a train for about an hour to get to forests and other places where I could feel nature. The parks in the neighborhood were urban parks that were no fun at all, and for me as a child, the best memories of my childhood are playing video games with my friends.
I have a particularly memorable video game. It is called "Chrono Trigger". It is a typical story of a video game in which a boy named Chrono rides in a time machine with his friends whom he meets during his adventures, and deepens his friendship with his friends while solving problems of various eras. It is still one of my favorite games. Nowadays, the game can be downloaded and played on cell phones, and I also downloaded it and play it while reminiscing about those days. And most of all, I love the music used in the game! Why don't you all give the game a try for the first time in a long time?

I love the character ROBO in the game. ROBO is a "fighting robot" that Chrono encounters when he travels to the future in a time machine, but his friend Ruka, a girl genius, reprograms ROBO into a kind heart and he is reborn. I love the story behind ROBO and every time I hear this ROBO theme song, it brings back happy memories of my childhood. I wish I could find a game with such an inspiring story like "Chrono Trigger" and play a video game again with friends.
テレビゲームをプレーしますか？ わたしはこの頃は全然しなくなったのですが、子供の頃は毎日していました。 わたしが子供の頃はテレビゲームで遊ぶことが友達と共に時間を過ごす主な方法でした。 日本の大阪で生まれ育ったわたしにとって、現在住んでいるストックホルムに比べ、自然とは少し離れた存在でした。 ストックホルムのように、歩いて数分で湖や森がある生活はしていませんでした。 電車に乗って、１時間ぐらい乗らないと森など自然を感じる場所には行けませんでした。 近所にある公園は全然楽しくない都市部の公園で、子供のわたしにとって友達とテレビゲームをすることが一番いい思い出として残っている子供時代の思い出です。
そんなわたしですが、特に思い出に残っているテレビゲームがあります。 「クロノトリガー」と言う作品なのですが、聞いたことはありますか？ クロノと言う名前の少年が、冒険の中で知り合った友人たちと共にタイムマシーンに乗り、いろんな時代の問題を解決しながら仲間との友情を深めていくといったテレビゲームのストーリーとしては典型的な内容なのですが、当時のわたしにとてつもない影響を与え、今でも大好きなゲームの１つです。 今では携帯電話でもダウンロードしてプレーすることが出来て、わたしもダウンロードして当時を思い出しながら遊んでいます。 そして、何よりもゲーム内で使われている音楽が最高に好きです！ 皆さんも久しぶりにゲームをしてみてはどうですか？
わたしはそのゲームの中に登場するROBOというキャラクターが大好きです。 ROBOはクロノが未来にタイムマシーンで行った時に出会う「戦闘ロボット」なのですが、クロノの友達である天才少女ルカによって、優しい心にプログラミングをし直し、ROBOは生まれ変わります。 ROBOにまつわるストーリーも大好きで、このROBOのテーマ曲を聞くたびに子供時代の楽しい思い出が思い出されます。 このような感動するストーリーのゲームに出会いたいなぁー。
