These are examples of getting creative around the house with photography. I used an old compact disc I didn't need anymore and some water drops. Light did the rest of the work as it created a rainbow worth of colors as I moved around. Macro photography can make things up close, like this, have a very abstract appearance, and its great to practice when you have nowhere else to go.
The neon reflective look of the back of the CD is enhanced by the waterdropsdrops abilities to distort the light and make these colors shift in wild combinations. There aren't really many rules here; you just need enough light to get a good exposure and everything else you can improvise as you play around with different settings on the camera.
