I find anytime I go somewhere and am planning to take some macro pictures of flowers, I tend to get much better shots when I can find a variety of colors. Maybe its my tendency to like to move on to other things when I am shooting the same subject for a while. With flowers, all the different types make finding the various colors and trying to capture them authentically a great challenge. Sometimes its just about light and getting enough of it for the shots, or it could be the angle helping me get the details that I want to find with a macro lens.
