Spending a few days just looking for photo ops with people and enjoying the fun atmosphere of everyone living in almost an altered state of being playing all of these characters is some of the most enjoyable escapism that Ive experienced. People love to show off, strike a pose, or take part in a scene, and I think wearing a cosplay or playing a character makes the barriers come right down.
It becomes like live performance art, improved on the post, and it amazes me how spontaneously people can get right into it with little direction. The fun side comes out, and it comes naturally without much prompting beyond the fact they are wearing a costume and there is a camera there.
