I can say that the American Robin is among the birds I see most often, I also cant really seem to recall seeing more than one at a time. If I think if the most frequent birds I find around Calgary like ducks, magpies, crows, and sparrows, it's not uncommon to see several together. The Northern Flickers I encounter even sometimes hang out in pairs, although I see many solo ones.
Robins though seem to just have this stoic and purposeful look to them, just a solitary bird out finding worms or making its call from while perched on a branch. I am sure their private lives must involve more interaction with each other; maybe its something I should try and observe more when I see them around.
