I seem to encounter a steady flow of robins in my life, and I enjoy their company. They are a peaceful bird; their song is pleasing, their presence soothing. Seeing one on my balcony railing is a great chance to get closer; I almost feel as if I could reach out and hold this one in my hands; it is so close. When I see the picture, I hear the sounds of its little talons on the railing, lightly scratching and making a small clinging sound on the metal as it shuffles and positions itself.
