I was out last week at a cemetery I have never been to before and I was hoping to catch a little wildlife while I was there. After wandering around for a half hour or so trying to get a feel for the place I saw this little squirrel running along the top of a chain link a fence, it was much smaller then what I usually see in the residential areas which meant it was likely a red squirrel. I wished it hadn't been so far away but I decided to keep on my adventure and keep walking.
When I eventually made it to the fence I was checking out the view as I was on a hill overlooking the city and to my left there was a large tree. Then all of a sudden hear a squeak next to me and locked at the tree, the little red squirrel was there as if to ask me why I was on its turf. It ran around the tree to get another view of me then back around again a few times squeaking and asking me who I was and why I was there or at least that's what I assumed. Luckily I had my Nikon 200-500mm lens out which was the perfect lens at this distance to get a few close ups before the little critter ran off. As this was mostly near a natural area I can imagine the squirrel doesn't encounter people to often and seemed quite young and energetic so naturally was very curious about me and what I was doing.
