Welcome back to our Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
This week, we are featuring the Heavy Hitters ruleset.
Heavy Hitters:
- All units gain the Knock Out ability.
- Be sure to include a unit with Stun in your lineup to trigger the Knock Out ability.
Heavy Hitters is one of the rulesets where you need to have a supplemental ability paired with it. You'll need a stunner in your lineup which limits it's potential a lot but if you're able to get it, you'll be dishing out some serious damage.

| This is one of the best pairings for Heavy Hitters as there are a lot of monsters who have Stun but aren't magic so there is a tendency to miss. Being able to ensure that they never miss helps us deal consistent damage without the RNG of missing or dodges. | ||||||||||||||||||||
The obvious synergy is definitely Stun. Being able to stun an enemy and then doing double strike would be ideal. This pairs well with Aim True as well so that you pretty much guarantee the hit so the Knock Out can take effect. |
| The third one is Pierce. You'll want to try to include this in the lineup so that even with armor, you maximize damage. A lot of stunners are ranged so they'll need to burn through armor first. Having Pierce will help immensely. |
This week's feature is from a regular match in Diamond League. Rulesets are as follows:
Very cut and dry in terms of rulesets this time but it is what it is. No other combo so we'll try to add in some Stuns and see how it goes. Round 1We both tried to use Kelya and while I opted for a double stun strategy, the enemy opted to use a low levelled Baakjira but with a healer at the back end. They also had some strong Sneak and Opportunity hitters while I didn't have any. Round 2The start wasn't too bad but the lack of Sneak on my end is hurting me a lot. The other problem is that the enemy Deeplurker is dishing out Poison like candy. Round 3Round 3 has me taking a ton of damage and my backline left decimated. I was able to get rid of the Baakjira but at the expense of my 3 backline hitters. Round 4Round 4 is the beginning of the end and I still even got more Poison stacked on me which hurt me even further. ResultsGG! I may have gotten too caught up in trying a Stun lineup and forgot to diversify a little bit with either a Sneak or Opportunity monster. If I were able to bring one, this could have turned out differently. Good for feedback and for improving further! That's it for this one and see you next week! Full battle here.
