Welcome back to our Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
This week, we are featuring the Lost Magic ruleset.
Lost Magic:
Magic units may not be used in battle.
Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
Use Headwinds and Return Fire to counter ranged attacks.
Units with 2 types of attack (which include magic) cannot be used.
Lost Magic is an interesting ruleset because you are able to showcase more niche lineups especially those that are more glass cannon and can potentially dodge attacks outside of magic damage. Let's look at some synergies and counters that we can use for this one!

| This is one of the best pairings for Lost Magic because it negates the need for dodge. Granted if this ruleset is available, you'll need to consider that it applies to both teams so strategize accordingly. | ||||||||||||||||||||
Fog of war neutralizes sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities so you are able to plan things out better from your lineup. This helps with having heavy hitters be in the backline. This is also good to have because you can almost guarantee that there will be sneak and opportunity monsters in the lineup. |
| Since we know that there will be no magic damage, armor becomes an extra layer of support to tank more hits and last longer. |
This week's feature is from a regular match in Diamond League. Rulesets are as follows:
We only have 1 ruleset for this match so it'll be interesting what sort of strats we'll pull out! Round 1Similar lineups but the Albatross at max level is expensive to rent so I can't afford it. I opted with the potentially OP Chaos Agent instead. I think that the backfire ability on this is quite strong. Round 2The start of roun 2 has shows us having my Torrent Fiend get taken out while the opposing one still remains. Will this be the time for Chaos Agent to shine? 4 speed with dodge can be quite deadly. Round 3Chaos Agent pulls up a clutch 2 dodges in a row! It effectively eliminates the armor of both the Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus! Round 5Round 5 is the beginning of the end as Chaos Agent gets in another dodge and leaves my own Pelacor Bandit and Deeplurker to dish out tons of damage. ResultsGG! This was a close one and the gamble of using the Chaos Agent paid off big time! That's it for this one and see you next week! Full battle here.
