I believe there are still good people in the world because I've experienced kindness from both known and unknown persons that I can't fathom what I've done to deserve such kind of kindness.
Though it is very rare nowadays to see people render help because the world is now delicate and no one wants to do a thing that will land them in trouble but I can attest to the fact that there are still good people out there who do care about others and they can go to any length to render help.
I cannot begin to count the number of times I've received random help at every stage of my life. I've enjoyed and still enjoying lots of kind gestures that I can't count at all, but the act of kindness that I enjoyed most in my life is paying off my transportation fare by total strangers.
I vividly remember while I was in secondary school that random people from nowhere usually pay my fare whenever I'm in public transport.
I was enrolled in a school far away from home and my school doesn't have a school bus because it's a government owned school, so every parents had to fend for their wards.
I boarded public transport to school everyday for 6 years of my stay in secondary school and almost every week my fare got paid by total strangers. This is like a compulsory course for me at that time because I never carry it over at all, I have money like something else that time.
Lot of things usually prompts people to pay my fare, some will say they love how neat I appeared while some will say they cherish how brave I am to board transport alone without the help of anyone etc. I enjoyed this act a lot and the act made me have savings at that time. So when I gained admission to the university, I got inspired to reciprocate the act I enjoyed while I was in secondary school.
Anytime I board taxi with school kids, I do pay their fare and I love how happy they are whenever I do it. Meeting those kids inside taxis always reminds me of the good old days of mine and I couldn't help but pay their fares.
I remember the day I sat beside a school girl who attended the secondary school I graduated from in a bus, I was thrilled to pay her fare. When I gave the driver her transport fare, the woman who sat at my back was amazed because I met them in the bus and still pay for the girl's fare.
To be on the saver side, I quickly told the woman that her daughter's school was the school I graduated from, the woman was overjoyed and she said I must also pay for her fare too because she's the girl's Mom. I gladly paid her fare too because I saw how happy the girl and her Mom was that day.
On the nut shell, I don't think I will break this chain because up till now I still pay transport fares of school kids whether primary or secondary school, I don't care. So far they board the same taxi or bus that I boarded, I will ask the driver his charges for whoever I intend to pay the fare and I will give it to the driver.
I choose to continue this act of mine because of the kindness I've enjoyed in the past and I'm loving it.
Thanks for stopping by!
