Living Happier and Healthier

I've been a minimalist for a while now and I can testify that I've been enjoying my life to the fullest without the interference of anyone or anything whatsoever. Being simple with my approach to life and everything in it makes me healthier while people close to me always wonder the kind of lady I've grown to become because I'm not always moved by trends that people engage in.

I'm so pleased with my minimalist lifestyle and I wouldn't hesitate to teach my children this path that has been making me satisfied and happy.

I'm lucky to grow up with parents that love to do things at home with their children and I can count the number of friends that my parents have since I was born, so this also makes me choose my friends closely. I got the understanding that having lots of friends takes a lot from one so as I crave for a healthy lifestyle filled with lots of happiness, I decide to choose few friends and I'm happy with it.

Minimalism makes me appreciate my present moment, I focus more on today and make the best use of it. I'm not anxious about tomorrow because I got to understand that only the Divine knows tomorrow and that excessive thinking about tomorrow robs one of being productive today.

So why will I mount unnecessary pressure on myself when I don't know what can happen in the next minute of my life. I don't ruin my today with the thought of tomorrow, I focus more on today and live the best of it joyfully.

Minimalism also helps me live within my financial capabilities, I do away with unnecessary cravings because I'm always on budget in whatever I intend to do, that's why I'm not indebted to anybody at all. I don't follow what's in vogue because once you start living according to things in vogue then you lose the right to your financial freedom.

So I don't get hooked up with unnecessary things, I plan ahead and also save for unforeseen circumstances. I've realized the importance of living within my budget, prioritizing my wants and living with lesser things and my life has never been in need of anything.

Also, minimalism has helped me to love myself the most, I'm not trapped by allowing others to validate me first before appreciating myself and I also don't compare myself with others, I'm ME! I take control of my life and don't allow others to control me, I celebrate my wins with my small circle of friends & family and also work on my failures whenever I encounter set backs.

Embracing minimalism has made me live happier and healthier, without it I don't think it will be possible for me. I'm happy I've been able to adapt to this unique lifestyle and I'm not letting go at all because my Spirit, Soul and Body is at PEACE!

Been there, done that and I can say for a fact that you are absolutely right. The fewer friends you have the less friendship drama you will have.

Hi @mojtee07 you are so beautiful😊😊

This was an amazing read

I can see that minimalism has helped you in so many ways to positively better your life. I can also see why you would want to teach your children.

I resonate with you on the part of not needing external validation. When you live a life that is grounded in contentment, you hardly notice or even care about what others think of you, because deep down you know that whatever happens, you have your back and you are good.

I enjoyed reading this!

Thanks for reading through, you are appreciated!

That's a great step towards personal freedom. Once I stopped caring what's trending or popular in fashion or any other area, my life became a lot more comfortable (as did I in my own skin).

Yes ooo, fashion trends lead to debt and I can't afford it at all

That is, indeed, a tremendous treasure that fewer kids seem to be enjoying what with all this abundance of technology. Everyone's growing more disconnected, which seems a shame.
