Second day back and... wow. I wasn't expecting to do this well with earning starbits from my missions so soon. I'm usually expecting somewhere around 3-4k starbits a day but I was greeted with 600+ fans (all drunks) and some pretty high rolls while I was grinding out my saturday headline missions. At least half of them paid out 1k starbits while the others hovered around 700-800. In total, this was able to push me to just over 5000 starbits for the day.
Something that I wasn't expecting however was that little 1% of ego. While on my quest for grinding out missions, I found quite a lot of drunks; and while I am extremely appreciative that they'd like to lend me a hand in my journey, they ate into my 500 skill point budget I had over my fan + mission ego. A bit of a bummer, but what can I do other than wait it out and maybe increase my skill point gap a bit? It's unlikely I'll keep finding 300+ drunk fans with each completion so maybe I need to increase the gap between ego and skill to around 900 or 1000 to be safe.
Leveling:
On top of that, I am currently about 1.5 levels away from being able to start my new mission addiction. I was going to rush singing lessons for the quick run up on 40, but I wanted to go and get some starbits that I could get to staking. Once I hit level 40 though I am going to be switching over to this mission or juggling it with Saturday Headline in order to keep my ego gain at a minimum while still gaining a decent amount of starbits.
Staking:
Shortly after my post yesterday, I actually got some of my first payouts on the new Stick Up Boys track. 3 had sold and that got me a total of 83 starbits. Not bad for doing nothing while waiting for missions to complete. I'm undecided if I want to keep putting more starbits in this track or just hold on to them for now.
I've realized that where I am currently is that I've hardly ever bought card packs. I mean, I've bought 2 packs and got some decent cards that helped kickstart my journey before I started selling off my spliniterlands vouchers for starbits. But other than that, I've been buying up singles as I see them. For the most part, singles seem to be a bit all over the place. I've seen some cards I own go up another 2k starbits from when I posted last month to some staying in the 7k range. It's a bit disheartening to see this but it's understandable. If prices continue to hike then it is probably just a better idea to invest in more card packs and hope for the best.
Last but not least, my pitiful mission count of just over 600 completed missions. Even then, I'm still on track to getting 100 open mic night missions done so that should be finished any day now.
