I'm not too sure what it was, but today just felt extremely slow. I still spent about the same amount of time playing and even completed a decent amount of missions for the day, but it just felt like a slog. A part of this could be due to me finding just 1 or 2 pizza slices for my box throughout the day and I think that's what I'm going to chalk it up to. In order to squeeze out an extra Saturday Headline mission I was forced to use my Cold Pizza Slice card that I managed to hold on to all throughout yesterday. Dire times call for desperate measures I guess.

Regardless, we persevered and made some decent progress for the day. I'm inching ever closer to level 40 and still managed to earn somewhere around 4k starbits but I lost track after withdrawing them.

Say "hi" to Barney, he has been here since opening my first card pack.

Setting a goal:

I know I have already said this multiple times, but I need some sort of plan or goal to work towards, otherwise I'm just all over the place. There's too much that I want to focus on and if I don't pick something then I will just keep bouncing around all over the place from each potential goal. With that being said, I've already marked off grabbing a pizza box and I have quite the handful of microphone cards in order to grind out all the skill points I could possibly want. With that being said, I think I have a definitive goal to aim for first.

With my cards, I currently sit at 2790 permanent fans. That puts me over the halfway point for having 5000 fans. I think what I want to do, or rather, what I am going to do, is just push forward for that 5000 fan milestone, why should I stop where I'm at? Once I hit 5000 fans, I can focus more on my instruments for an increase in luck and earning skill points. The question then comes down to what type of cards I want to pickup along the way and I think that's just going to be whatever the market dictates at the moment. While I want to pick up more and more people cards to fill out my collection, I can't help but notice the value that some of the vehicle cards have, even if they give no bonus towards skill.

With my current average of 4k to 5k starbits per day, it would likely be a week before I can even pick up a new vehicle card, but could likely pick up a couple people cards. I'll run my numbers a bit more, save some starbits over the week and see which I'm leaning towards more.

Current FansFan Goal% Completed
2790500055.8%

TLDR:

  • Goal of 5k fans
  • Save starbits
  • Buy people + vehicle cards

Add another to the pile:

The "new" and latest card to my collection, yet another Ray card. I was doing my daily browsing of the market in the morning and stumbled across one for 5900 starbits. Originally I was going to buy some of the new cards available since they were also being listed around 5800 to 5900 starbits, but seeing as Ray was the better value, I decided to just go with him. He has been with me since early on in my Rising Star Journey and I don't see him leaving anytime soon. For the price, he provides some pretty good value that's hard to pass up. This now brings my total amount of Ray's to 6.

Ending:

Bringing it all back to the total missions for the day, we now sit at 675, being up by 16 since yesterday. Not bad at all, but all this means is that we're 2 days away from hitting 700 missions completed and level 40 is also right around the corner. It looks like I'll be hitting two milestones in the same time frame.
