Today in Rising Star was surprisingly forgiving. While I didn't end up getting a new card today, I was pretty close to it. Mission after mission was giving out high paying rewards like it was candy. The game was a bit stingy on giving out pizza, but a few coffee cups here and there helped me manage the down time.
Starbits:
It's kind of funny. When I start a week, it often starts extremely strong, such as my 5.5k starbit day last week before it tapered off over the rest of the week and coming back into 4k territory. It seems so far like today is one of those repeat days. Despite not finding more than one pizza slice, I have balanced my cold slice cards in a way to help me get through the day without being stuck with nothing.
With that in mind, I blew past all sorts of expectations. I didn't hit any new achievements so I was really surprised that I made this many starbits in a single day. I was 100 starbits away from making 6000 for the day. That's an all time highest for me.
Buying cards?
While I was planning on buying a card today, it shouldn't be much of a surprise to me at this point. Card prices are such a funny thing sometimes. I wake up and there are plenty of decent deals on the market. I come home from work and there's cards that cost about as much as a card pack. Even though I have a decent chunk of change, I think that I'm just going to hold on to my starbits for the night.
When I get up in the morning I'll check the market again to see if there's anything worth picking up. If not, I guess I'll grind out the remaining starbits to hit the 10k threshold and decide between getting a new pack or an extra cold slice.
Ending:
Overall, a pretty good day all things considered. I managed to knock out a total of 17 missions. There was no real energy shortage and there were plenty of high reward rolls from missions. Tomorrow I should be getting some type of new card so I'm looking forward to that. Currently I have ego nipping at my heels again so a music lesson day is going to be needed in the next day or two.
