I can't tell if this is an art work or a gift for our mothers but it it is my entry got the mothers day needlework your jewelry contest I decided to participate in
Can you imagine wearing fabrics in your ears, that will truly look wierd right?
Even e after seeing all the beautiful work bead work, crotchet jewelries and colorful work by the other members of the community I was still bent on using fabrics.
I guess everyone put up an entry based on their skill and area of specialty.
Seeing @vickoly made a bracelet with leather and my crotchet bee went @blezyn made a touch of crotchet and bead work.
I am known with the fabrics and against all odds I chose to work with it.
Its fabric and am comfortable working with this if only I can do away with the weirdness of wearing fabrics across the street.
This may just be the first of its kind, just imagine how these looked in my ears.
And then see how colorful the denim fabric and thread came out.
The making
Well I didn't do much with this.
Picking some denim fabrics and wanting to try a variety of design I cut out some shapes and wanting this to get colorful, I stitched round it using threads of varying color secure the frail edges.
This didn't come out too neat as I didn't have the edge cutter tool for getting this done neatly.
I also added interface in between to keep the fabric in place.
Next I moved to add the beads and earring pins.
Well I don't have a mother to gift this too and am not sure if my two married sisters who are mothers already will cherish this gift, they won't have denims hanging in their ears that am sure.
But am dedicating the creativity and inspiration I got to do this work to all mothers and mother like figure out there.

May you not have reasons to sorrow all the days of your life and may live long to watch your children make you happy.

With the right tools, I think we can make fabric earrings with neater finishing and have it sold at the market with a survey to see who will adopt this fashion trend.
How I wish that this can become an NFT that we can talk about the beauty of women and how mother manage to look beautiful regardless of the so much time consuming responsibilities of children up bringing.
