Hello Hive
Pineapples 🍍🍍🍍🍍 are one among the many fruits that are important and healthy for our bodies. For the fact that it contains large quantities of fibres and aids digestion I like to take more of it compared to oranges. Fiber is good and very important for our digestive tract and gut health.
There are so many species of fruits, but my favorites are pineapple, banana, and pawpaw. I also like a little of oranges, apples, and mangoes, but the ones listed above are my favorites.
Recently I have checked around and learned about various fruits that one can grow at home or the ones we can grow on a commercial level. We have visited some cashew plantations, and I must tell you that cashew is one of the fruit crops that can generate a lot of money as an investment purpose in agriculture. A long term investment in cashew can yield a lot of money compared to the other fruits from my findings.
Mangoes, pineapples, and the other fruits are used for producing fruit drinks and juice, but cashews are used in the industry for various purposes.
I have learned about cashew nuts being used in the industry for the production of fuel and cosmetics. Aside from these, the nuts are very rich in protein when eaten compared to other nuts. These qualities of cashew make it an important commercial fruit plant and an avenue for investment.
Other fruits that do not have these differential uses are only grown and sold for consumption purposes; they might not be the best form of investment. I have looked up at Cashew, Banana, and now Pineapple.
For consumption, you can choose to grow some pineapple at home. One can grow pineapples from the crown or the seeds, but it is often easier to grow it from the crown. All you have to do after getting a fully ripe pineapple is to cut the crown, nurse it in a bottle of water for it to develop new roots before replanting it into the soil.
Growing it from seed might be a bit challenging for a beginner, and I am not familiar with that process yet.
A very little space within one's compound is enough for such. I think that it is said that the plant does die after producing a single pineapple fruit, but I am yet to understand or check that out. With time we will learn more while growing our own crops.
