Hello Hive.

Today we begin the spraying process for our beans that is already producing seeds. We first went to the chemical store here to get the appropriate kind of pesticides to use and the direction for applying it.

Our Beans leaves are beginning to fold and show some signs of infestation. Pests/parasites affects both the leaves and the seeds. When it affects the leaves, they begin to fold like this one you see below

If the leaves fold past this level it will no longer be able to produce any beans for us. And if it is the beans that is affected they will begin to rot. Both the beans and the pods can rot leading to total loss of our crops.

In order to prevent this we often get the chemicals for spraying this and repeat the spraying process weekly until the time of beans harvest. I sincerely do not know if there were other approach that we can use to grow beans without the use of these pesticides as everyone is clamouring for the need to grow organic foods without chemicals. Could there be a secret that the olden days people know of that we do not know now since they must have been growing their beans 🫘🫘🫘🫘🫘 back then without chemicals.

While at the chemical store here I was surprised to see the huge pole of various chemicals for various crop all arranged here

Various food plants have the specific chemicals for growing them, some are meant for weed control while others are meant for boosting of growth.

While all of these may be useful in various ways, we must equally be on the lookout for our health and ecosystem. Learn about the proper and controlled measured for using these chemicals.

We can decide to grow some food that will absolutely not be dependent on chemicals while the ones we cannot do without like this beans we can apply them in a measured and controlled manner.
I hope that we do have a pleasant time with the days activities while myself and dad get busy here with the beans and our chemicals.
