Mother's day is coming and I didn't even realize it, maybe it's because I know it will be painful for me to live this date without my mother, it's the first year and a few months after her death, the pain has not ceased to be felt.
Today I went to the nursery where I took her for the last time, I have become friends with the owners and they allow me to take pictures there, it is part of my way of dealing with the pain, and somehow the way to keep my mind busy.
While I was in the nursery the owner made a sign for me to come closer, he was fumigating the nursery to prevent some diseases in the plants, he pointed me to a place and told me: look at that pair, they are fighting to see who eats more, they like me to spray and they eat all the insects they find on the way.
For some strange reason the lizard in the background seemed more interesting to me, although now that I see the photos I think it was a mistake on my part to do so, but well I looked up its name and I think it is an Anolis subocularis.
Of course I was trying different angles to find the best framing, but to be honest the picture I liked the most for the color combination, was the first one that I put on the cover of the post.
All photos were taken with the Canon M50 Mark II and EF 50mm F/1.8 lens, some photos were taken at F/6.3 and others at F/4.5, ISO 400, and the shutter speed was variable.
I hope you liked the pictures, and I have already agreed with the owner of the nursery that the next time he sprays he will let me know in advance, so I can bring more gear to take better pictures, such as flash, softbox and more lenses, because this time I only had the 50mm and it was quite difficult to get close enough without scaring the lizards away, so see you soon.
