So risingstar game has started charging for music lessons and many players have called Jux many names for this move but it was a move that was needed as inflation was getting out of control with many players just farming SB and milking the game out of existence. The over reaction of many don't actually realize that it may take a little bit off your earnings but not the numbers people where banding around discord.
So what is the deal with price of lessons?
Well when you run a mission on rising star you gain ego and the more you run a mission the more ego will be gained, when your ego goes beyond your skill level your ego will increase curbing your starbit earnings.
How can i tell if a mission will be profitable
Well this is where it gets a little complicated if you try and work it but i have a rule which will help you out, but first we will do the math for it.
I have a lot of fans and luck to run my missions so it costs me quite a bit but it does scale for any level.
0.0329 SP to run mission
0.0329 star pro = 102686 starbits
102686 / 19749 = 5.1995 starbit per skill
This means it will cost me to run 102k sb to run one mission earning 19749 skill(5.19 sb per skill), on average i earn an easy million a day, so it works out about 1.5 missions i need a day so 15% cut on my earnings. If i choose lessons that cost less ego i can probably trim that 15% probably a bit lower.
Rule of 5
So regardless of your level look at the mission your ego will cost you and times it by 5, lets take the example above.
759 ego x 5 = 3759
So for the mission to be profitable i would need to earn 3759 starbits out of a possible 50k so not really that much when you think about.
Keep calm
The payment of SP for music lessons should help reduce inflation and eventually increase the price of SB. So before going off the deep end and climbing out of the pram have a look at the bigger picture and keep calm and carry on.

Testing my new deep space camera
On another note i bought an Altair 269c Pro Tec chilled astronomy camera and this is my first light from it, the heart nebula is a large expanse of gas 7500 light years away and has a span of around 165 light years. This image consists of about 5 hours of data and i will add to it over winter.
