I'm starting to use the current Soulbounds cards in my battles in Splinterlands, even though they are at a low level because I recently returned to the game and managed to open few Loot Chests, they are still very useful in battles and sometimes the best option for the battle.
Today I will talk about one of my favorite cards, Commander Slade, he is a melee monster that costs 10 mana and will be a great ally in your battles as a tank.
Currently my Commander Slade is only at level 1 but that will not be for long because I intend to get more cards of them through Loot Chests and also by opening some Rare Draws in the seasons. I believe this card has great potential and may even increase in price over time, but for that I will need to pay to make it an NFT. The price to make it an NFT is currently very expensive because I need to pay 400 DEC per BCX, so I will wait until a new Soulbound set is released because the price to make Commander Slade an NFT will probably decrease by half, just like it happened with the previous Soulbound cards. So instead of paying 20x the CP value of the card, I will only pay 10x.
Why do I think Commander Slade is a great card?
Commander Slade has a large amount of attack, speed, health and armor, for that reason alone he is already a great card, but he gets even better when you see the abilities he has. In total there are 4: Enfeeble, Dodge, Reflection Shield and Backfire.
The Monster that has the Enfeeble ability will reduce the melee attack of the monster it successfully attacks by -1.
The Monster that has the Dodge ability will have +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks.
The Monster that has the Reflection Shield ability will be immune to the Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire and Blast abilities.
The Monster that has the Backfire ability will deal 2 physical damage to the Monster that misses the attack when trying to deal damage to the monster with the Backfire ability.
So besides dealing a lot of damage, having a lot of health and armor, Commander Slade will have a great chance to dodge attacks, deal damage when dodging and will also have the chance to reduce the melee attack of the opponent's monsters.
In my opinion, this is one of the best cards in this Soulbound edition and I have no doubt that I will want to have this card at maximum level in my collection.
Remember that he only has all the abilities that I mentioned, only at maximum level.
The ability Enfeeble and the Ability Dodge are unlocked from level 1.
The ability Reflection Shield is unlocked at level 4.
The ability Backfire is unlocked at level 10.
In this battle I demonstrate how Commander Slade is useful in battles and as I mentioned before, in addition to causing a lot of damage he will dodge several times during the battle and all this just at level 1.
