Some weeks ago, we went to competitions and came back home with both gold and silver medals.
Ever since the competition, we all went to and saw the performances of my students. I realized there are still some works left to be done. I mean, I was at the competition and I realized how well they all did, but you know no matter how good you are, there is always someone who is better than you.
I first of all appreciate them all, after that. I told them about their weaknesses and what we all need to work on. And the first thing we need to work on is their fitness. No matter how good you are, if you are not well fit, you will gass out as soon as you start fighting.
And since what we do is contact sports. Most times, what makes one win is the fitness and not how well you can fight. You can know how to fight, but then you might not have what it takes to be fit, which will make you lose when fighting.
I designed some training for them that will make them fit and won't make them gass out easily. I need to do all these because there will be another competition coming up by September, which will be next month.
That competition will be tougher than this one they went to, so we need to be ready by all means if they really want to win.
One of the exercises they need is high knees. This works for their flexibility too since what they use more is their legs. ▶️ 3Speak
Since we are back to training now. We are to train three times in a week until the day of the competition. It should be more than that, but they need to have time for reading too because they are all students.
