Several years ago, a warm day in July I decided to go take a walk in our backyard. We have about one acre of land. I like to walk around and see what animals stop by to visit us from time to time. On this particular day I walked out to the back corner of our yard. I thought I heard meowing...
Meow 😽 meow 😽meow😽
I could not believe my 👀 as a little kitten was crawling out of some overgrowth toward me
The kitten was so small... I took it inside and started telling the rest of the family of my find. My husband says, "there is never just one kitten." He went back outside he went and found an abandoned litter of kittens.
We took all the kittens inside. We had a big box to place them in. We got 🍼 and kitten formula to feed them. There were 4 kittens in all 2 girls and 2 boys.
The kittens were hearty eaters. Topaz, would always act like he was starving to death and needed more, more, and more. We raised them till 6 to 8 weeks old. We had a vet check them out. We then found the girls a good home.
Topaz, the kitten that crawled out to me, we decided he would stay and live with us. His brother, who was named Phoenix, he lives with my son and his spouse.
Topaz cuteness
We believe that there are feral Savannah cats that live in our neighborhood and are smart enough to avoid any Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) efforts. We have rescued a clowder of cats that we love and share our lives with. As, I have shared before all of our animals have their each unique rescue story. I hope, in time to share with you each one.
✨gorgeous boy✨
He is one of only cats that I have known that will open your kitchen cabinet doors, climb on top of your fridge, and constantly "yells" at you. His favorite things are cat nip and the coonhound Jade. Topaz and Jade's bond started when Jade arrived as a puppy (see photo above). Their bond has grown over the years....😻
All grown up! Happy Topaz... Please adopt your pets. That are many in shelters waiting for their fureever homes🏠
