Hello, fellow Hivers! How have you been?
Many weeks ago part of our Hinunagan Iterinary was the visit to Calag-itan Fish Sanctuary. We went there in the afternoon. The sun's scorching heat was evident. However, it didn't stop us from exploring the area.
We were lucky to capture a lot of Instagram-worthy photos. The place is extremely clean and serene. There was no garbage seen and no other people roaming around the area except us.
Calag-itan is famous for being the fish sanctuary. You can see from the clear blue waters that there are different kinds of fish swimming on the surface. People can enjoy fish-feeding. You will surely be delighted at the sight of fish. They will surely come together if you sprinkle them with bread from the local bakeshop:Julies. They can consume 100 pesos worth of bread.
It's a perfect activity for kids, however, one must do that in the early morning or the late afternoon so the sun's heat would be bearable.
The fishes in the Calag-itan Sanctuary are friendly. People can swim with them. Most tourists would dive and take beautiful photos of them with the fish. It's a delightful experience. If I can only swim, I would surely not waste the opportunity to dive in and swim with them.
It's not the first sanctuary that I visited. I visited one when I was still in university. Both of them have different characteristics and advantage. Calag-itan is stunning because of the wide area and the blue hues. The clouds and the sea seem to agree on what colour they would show. Calag-itan is vast. What I love about the area is that it is pure and untainted. You can see that the people there protected and love the area severely.
There were no business buildings available. No distractions from the people and tourists. It was the fish's territory. The area was theirs.
I'm happy to be able to tick off this from my bucket list. It was a therapeutic and calming experience for me. Indeed a wonderful weekend experience.
This is my entry to @galenkp 's weekend engagement concept. Thanks for reading. Until the next read.
