Kendrick fans can relate but for those who don't it's a lyric from Kendrick Lamar's song titled “Alright”, it was one of his biggest songs to date after “Humble”.
So today, being a music addict I was selecting which song to listen to for an evening stroll. It wasn't much of a stroll, just 2-3 minutes walk within my neighborhood, but it is something I do to clear my head after all the day's stress and immediately after the stroll, it's back to my room to ponder more on life.
The past few weeks were rough for me or, let's put it, September was a rough ride for me with me facing challenges ranging from financial issues to emotional breakdown. I hate to say this, but—September seems to be the most stressful month for me so far.
I don't know what October has in stock, but I don't think it can surpass September's stress.
Nevertheless, I still am genuinely grateful for the experience because I know that it's all going to be alright soon, just as Kendrick has said. Lol
Music is one of those things that can create an illusion of hope sometimes, and most times, hope does manifest itself because we humans forget the innate ability of energy manifestation that's within us. When I was way younger, I experienced this so many times.
Some people call this angel dust or whatever, but I think as we grow older, so does the angel dust in us reduces until we are left with just a little to use for daily living. Think about what or who is beating your heart and why sometime in the future this heart just stops beating, no matter how long you want it to keep beating.
Just as everything grows, so will everything die, but before then we have to keep breathing, eating and achieving. This is all there is to life.
I know life to be a play, and I couldn't be more grateful to at least be a part of the play right here in this moment. So whatever problem or difficulty I am facing, I know it's alright because, for one, I am still breathing, which is the first gift the universe gave to humanity. The rest are merely by-products and a means to survive.
Since I'm breathing, I honestly don't let my troubles weigh me down anymore instead , I just face it head on and until the day I stop breathing, I’ll keep doing just that.
Kendrick said “we gon be alright” but for me, if you're still breathing, then it's already alright right in this moment and now.
Nothing really deep about all this, but it's something worth pondering about from time to time as it helps remind us of where we came from.
