Another week another splinterlands challenge. This week we will be going over the Dhampir Stalker, one of the new chaos Legion cards that currently costs under $11 to max out. It's not surprising to see such low prices, at least until all CL packs sell out, after that we will see the price of all CL cards slowly trend upwards.
The Dhampir Stalker has a great attack stat but everything else is quite average for a card that costs 7 mana. The true strike ability is excellent to make sure all your attacks connect no matter how faster than you the target is. The Death Blow ability will have little to no impact on the outcome of any battle but it is better than nothing I guess.
BEST RULESETS
Close Range - Since it has enough health to tank two or three hits the ability to keep attacking from the first position makes it a lot more useful.
Explosive Weaponry - It never misses and distributes a massive amount of damage per round. 4 from the regular attack plus 2 from the explosive damage, the only thing better than that is combining explosive weaponry with target Practice.

I know the enemy is going to go for a lot of magic damage because of the ruleset so I went with Void armor + Reflect on the front two positions. Followed it up with silence and some high damage dealers with opportunity, snipe, and true strike to cover more ground.
Round 1
His Wave Brood tanked every single attack and lived with 5 health points remaining while my Lord Arianthus reflected a good amount of damage.
Round 2
I finally take down the Brood, it gets resurrected, and I take it out once again. Lord Arianthus keeps dealing reflect damage but it only has 2 health points left.
Round 3
My main tank did a terrific job and my opponent it's very close to losing two of his damage dealers. But now my frontline doesn't have the shield ability so the double striking ranged attacks will hurt a lot more.
Round 4
Two down and three low health opponents left in the field while my team looks quite healthy. I still have a 10 HP flying wall just in case...
Round 5
My Prismatic Energy gets knocked out but I manage to strike down the remaining magic damage dealers, leaving only one defenseless ranged attacker sitting in the first row waiting for me to put it out of its misery.
My opponent was at a big level disadvantage so it was a pretty easy win. Anyway, my strategy was bulletproof against magic damage so even if his team was at higher levels it wouldn't make much of a difference.
My daily focus aligned perfectly with today's challenge since I need to get some wins using as many death splinter cards as I can. This was a great way to put my Dhampir Stalker to good use!
