This time, its not about a specific monster, its about a specific ruleset with a lot of monsters. I tried only melee attackers on the battlefield in up close and personal ruleset where only melee monsters are allowed to do the battle.
Up Close and Personal: Only units with melee attacks can be used.
Let's get to the battle.
Here's the battle link if you wish to check.
Choosing Monsters
My Team | Opponent's Team |
---|---|
Grund | Disintegrator |
Oaken Behemoth | Mycelic Infantry |
Venari Scout | Goblin Thief |
Nil | Mycelic Morphoid |
Nil | Venari Knifer |
I created my team selecting three monsters and my opponent created their team selecting six monsters where I used dragon with earth and my opponent used earth element. There are only melee monsters to be seen in this battle with this specific ruleset as other monsters are just can't be chosen.
After choosing Lily Shieldpaw as summoner, I used all three melee attack monsters where all of them had some special abilities that allows them to do something special Grund attacks twice each round using its double strike ability, Oaken Behemoth has extra magic damage may attack from the second position on the team using its sneak ability and magic attacks hit this unit's armor before its health for its void armor ability although there's no magic attackers in this ruleset, Venari Scout may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health using its opportunity ability.
The way I placed all three of my monsters, they may attack from their own position using their special abilities otherwise the 2nd and 3rd melee attackers couldn't attack from the places I selected for them as melee damages are meant to be worked only from the first place. The opponent had a weaker team selection than me as all their monsters may not attack from their own position.
The Battle
All my monsters were blessed with one extra health each, all of them got camouflage ability from my summoners buff and my summoner promised to heal the friendly back-line monster that has taken the most damage. Then the opponent summoner only decreased two armor of my Oaken Behemoth and that's all.
The opponent's Disintegrator decreased one melee damage from two of my monsters using demoralize ability and they have a monster who targets the last unit on the enemy team instead of the first unit and may attack from any position.
My Oaken Behemoth attacked first and damaged two health wit an armor of the opponent's Disintegrator where my monster did double damage with magic and melee. Then my Grund did a double strike where it damaged the armor of the opponent's Disintegrator with the first attack and damaged two health with the second attack and then my Venari Scout easily killed the opponent's Disintegrator and my monsters got back their lost melee damage.
The opponent had a monster with the biggest speed but it was placed at the last position who couldn't attack till it reaches the first position so all my monsters took lead first and did all theses damages and even killed an opponent monster as you can see without giving them a chance to speak out.
The opponent's Venari Scout did the first attack from them and damaged one health of my Grund. Then the opponent's Mycelic Infantry got the chance to damage three health of my Grund but somehow the opponent monster missed its target and I seriously didn't see any reason about this missing attack.
Well, then my Oaken Behemoth damaged two health and one armor of the opponent's Mycelic Infantry and then my Grund damaged two health and last two armor of the same opponent monster although the opponent monster there evaded these damages almost by half using its shield ability. Then fortunately, my Venari Scout attacked and damaged one health of the opponent's low health holder Mycelic Infantry otherwise it could miss the attack if it would target the opponent's Mycelic Infantry.
The opponent's Goblin Thief and Mycelic Infantry damaged total five health of my Grund and then my Oaken Behemoth showed its wrath on the opponent's Mycelic Infantry in a new round and killed the opponent monster. Then dramatically my Grund killed the opponent's Goblin Thief and Mycelic Morphoid one by one with a single shot using the double strike ability
And now the opponent had only one monster who had a thorns damage along with its melee damage but it to wait to attack for the next round and it got a chance as well which didn't go thaaat well as it died so fast when my Oaken Behemoth and Grund took charge.
So, what do you think of this ruleset and about my play?
