Unfair voting reduces motivation in Hive

in #hive-1679222 years ago

I am not a quality content creator. But you don't need to be a professor to understand a good quality post.In Hive, which is a decentralized system in Web3 technology, I think that by voting on very weak posts, the curators offend the writers and content producers who will move Hive forward.

If I ever become a whale, it's in my plans. I will voice this injustice with a stronger voice. Good evening everyone.

I do wish we had more good hive posts to be exposed at the same time people should consider being more active commenting I mean how many posts have you seen with few comments. Content creators should also expand their thoughts about it comment and reply as much as you can too is just as important. After all isn't that what you want is a comment

Wow a tribe owner write answer, first of all thank you. I haven't reviewed your Tribe token yet, I'm curious.

Your answer is really constructive from a different perspective, here and in similar social media and blogging world, the writers offer their thoughts and the readers respond and the writer is happy.

I realize that there are very careful designs, music and literary articles, not just voting and income that I am talking about, but from whales that have never received any votes. This leads to monopoly in a decentralized network.

Perhaps Hive blogs can be arranged to complement passive income and encourage whales to create new content and like users.

I am a Cent Curator for special reasons, yes, I support the curators more so that they can benefit more people, but in general, I try to support many people I do not know as a tribe.

I am happy with your answer. thanks.

I seen your post and I thought ya know a lot of people really should think of other's content plus it is a social media platform I'm the founder of Beatzchain we're one of the music networks forming on HIVE. As of lately time has gotten thin but I'm not giving up on the project.

I am very pleased, I hope you do not give up on your project and you reach your goals. One thing I'm wondering is how can I see your curated apy rates? (beatzc)

It's beatcz by the way I believe it could be somewhere on hive engine

Friend thanks a lot for support 💯

I was looking at your content and I can see that they are all with very short content, telling about news that can be seen in many places (nothing original) and there is no analysis or your personal opinion about the topic. No original images, no original text, very little effort...

Those are the main things that curators are looking for. I'm sure that if you change that, you'll get the desired support.

If you think this is just my opinion, you're right.

Also, I'm not here to monetize content. If you examine my wallet, not my articles, you will see that I am one of the cent curators and I support many people.

I also checked your content, you are a musician, but you don't support those who make great music enough!

Respects.

Maybe there are some musicians I didn't find yet, but I support musician curating through @music-community, @curie, @la-colmena and @minnowsupport. You can check all the showcases of those communities and you will see how many musicians are getting my support. Inside all these projects we look for the things I mentioned in the previous comment.

If you see many other good musicians making a great job and not getting support, you should try to be part of one of those projects and support them.

I just answered the topic you wrote about...!

The voting seems to be more about building networks than about funding content creation. Unfortunately, there really is no way to fix this dynamics. Even plankton accounts tend to use their upvotes to gain attention.

But I agree that good netizens on HIVE should be aware of the problem and work to fund good content.

PS: Plagiarism is another huge problem. Plagiarists are known to steal good content from other platforms. Many times I've supported accounts that turned out to be nothing but copied content.

Bad experiences with plagiarists mean that when great content appears on the platform, people suspect that it was plagiarized.

One final problem is that meaningful content has a tendency to tweak egos. People do not like to upvote content that challenges their world view.

A great example is that substantive criticisms of HIVE rarely work, while posts that blindly applaud the actions of the whales get huge votes.

I've finally reconciled the fact that HIVE will never serve as the perfect platform for funding content creation and accept that social networking is more about networking than content.

I'm glad I was able to get such a descriptive and long answer. This was the reason why I left steemit, I still couldn't sell my steems, I'm at a loss. I've heard of fairer curation systems here, but I see there is no such thing.

As you said, I think the only purpose here is to create a network, the closer you are to the curators, the more votes you get.

I'm not here to earn hive by content. I'm still in the process of observing.

And whoever likes and follows me from now on, I will only support them in the future.

Thank you my friend for your sharing and comments.

Some of the tribes are good about welcoming newbies. I see that you are a whale on cent blog. CENT seems to do a good job encouraging newbies ... but they want content about economics.

IMHO, ProofOfBrain and VerifyYourBrain does a decent job supporting newbies. VYB does not like people who upvote their own posts.

Foodies is great for food related posts. Lotus does a good job promoting health related content and Sports Talk Social does a good job promoting sports content. Unfortunately the coins are all in the toilet.

If newbies find the right tribe for their content they can do well.

I didn't know that only economy content should be written in the cent community. As of today, I think I have taken one more step towards becoming a cent whale.

Proofofbrain, vyb, foodies are really nice communities. But it seems to me that it is difficult to be recognized and networked there.

The reason I started cent is because I want to help a strong community in the future, I just want to support cent authors. I hope things go well, I want to grow as a Hive whale with the cent community. Thank you very much indeed for your answer.

Here is the link to explain the shift from economics to general content from @anadolu himself: https://www.centblog.org/cent/@rzc24-nftbbg/re-ironshield-202239t185916383z

Thank you for sharing such detailed information with me.

My pleasure. 😊

I have 100K cents, I will write an article for you about the regular earnings of it. You will know when I tag you, don't worry my friend😊😊

Thanks for the update. I just checked the description of the CENT Community. The description now reads:

Cent tribe focuses on general content. You can find any content that interests you on the cent tag,

I recall the original description of the community said they wanted to focus on economics.

The topic of "economics" overlaps leofinance which focuses on crypto and finance. So, it is probably better off as a general content tag.

The unique thing about the CENT token is that it strives to be somewhat more stable than the other coins.

I will update my description of the CENT tag.

Communities Came Before Tribes

If you are wondering. HIVE released the "Community" feature before it releases HIVE-Engine. The communities tried to differentiate by focusing on different topics.

People added coins to the communities. This has caused many of the communities to become general use entities.
