I knew it would be a tough week this week and so it came to pass that I missed my Hive Power goal by a good margin but the Staked Leo I managed to achieve with a little in hand to start me on a new week.
Let's firstly remind ourselves of last week's targets on my way to 2500 Hive Power and 2500 Staked Leo :-
We started the week on 1018.053 Hive Power and 364.835 and the targets were 1073.879 Hive Power and 443.145 Staked Leo.
So, I only managed 1037.557 Hive Power and 454.187 Staked Leo
That's 36 HP short which makes next week's goal even harder to hit but no matter. I have a few decent posts to pay out and as with everything in life, and especially on Hive, the key is consistency with quality so whilst its not a forlorn hope to catch up in the coming week, its not impossible!
So for next week, the numbers I need to stay on track are;-
1073.879 + (8.34x7) = 1132.259 Hive Power
and
443.145 + (12.067x7) = 527.614 Staked Leo
Hmm, some serious numbers but I'm excited to break through the 500 Staked Leo barrier! Looks like the HBD savings wont be making any significant gains this week!
EDS Mini Miners
In conjunction with @spinvest, a new mini miner has been launched at a price of just 1Hive. Like all miners, they work on an hourly random lotto system and payout in EDS tokens. There's a post explaining all the details here which will also explain the whole philosophy behind EDS and their get rich slowly mantra.
Schemes like this are excellent for people with only a little to invest so they are able to build their investment slowly over time and well worth a look, especially when the scheme is new, you are likely to hit a winner on the lotto more often than when all the miners are sold of which there are a fixed total.

There are a few other such schemes running around the Hive but being honest, I fear for the initial capital as you are relying on liquidity to sell your tokens back should the need arise although EDS seem to imply you have a guaranteed 1 Hive buyback which is awesome, so it appears, much like @SBI Hive shares, if you don't need your capital and accept slow but sure returns, are a relatively safe investment. Guaranteed residual income will always repay you eventually.
As usual, there is so much going on Hive its very difficult to keep up and fully understand some of the schemes, but unlike the ultra complex DeFi of Leo, the simpler systems are much more inclusive and anyone can understand how to use them and how they work.
You have to thank all the people who set up these things for the benefit of everyone, it's a lovely thing to do.
Anyway, I decided to go for it and here we see 10 EDSMM bought and staked!
This of course is going to make my weekly goals even more difficult bey hey ho! you have to get your head to grindstone and work hard.

I have nothing to report on this front as I haven't increased my holdings this week.
Engagement
My engagement on Leo has again being very poor this week so I must make more of an effort this coming week but I have to say, a lot of the posts are a bit 'same same' and it takes some effort to find things I want to comment on. One thing I never have and never will do is comment and post just for the sake of it. Hive and its users really need to keep it authentic and not just 'post for cash'.
That's it for another week I guess. An exciting week ahead with another investment to report on and monitor so I look forward to catching up again next Monday. Until then, thanks for reading, have a wonderful week and don't forget...
