That future in which robots can operate autonomously and in risky situations, avoid threats and navigate challenging terrain seems to have begun. In a recent video, Deep Robotics engineers demonstrated the new behavior of Super Robot Dog X30.

This quadruped machine known for its inspection skills in electrical substations, is now capable of automatically avoiding strangers and obstacles adding an extra layer of safety and autonomy to its functions.

In the video X30 is subjected to several test situations, first an engineer tries to approach the robots, but X30 immediately retreats while maintaining a safe distance, in another scene the robot skillfully dodged an object rolling towards him, showing his ability to react quickly To possible threats and an additional situation the X30 even avoids its own twin by keeping distance from other robots.

Challenging hostile environments

These behaviors are part of an ongoing effort by Deep robotics to improve the autonomy and safety of their robots in challenging environments. The company founded in Hangzhou China in 2017 has excelled in the development of quadruped robots that can operate in extreme temperatures, navigate rugged terrain and perform rescue, surveillance and inspection tasks.

The X30, for example, can operate in conditions that vary between - 20 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius and is waterproof with IP67 certification, allowing it to be used in environments with the presence of liquids. It can also go up and down stairs with an inclination of up to 45 degrees, making it extremely versatile for a wide range of missions.

Additionally, plus the upgraded X30 Pro model includes more advanced communication features, allowing for greater connectivity in emergency and surveillance situations, this new automatic threat perception feature is another step towards the independence and effectiveness of security robots. Deep robotics in their missions, especially in areas where human presence is risky or impractical.

As these robots continue to evolve the potential for their use in security rescue operations and scientific exploration they will only continue to grow bringing a new era of robotics to the real world.
