Becky Oghenetega Ovueferie
I may not have told you this, but be aware:
You’re my breath, the marrow in my bones
Without your love, I may exist but not this way
Perhaps as a man,
but a directionless and wandering one.
If there was no God, you would be God
If no religion, you would be religion
And I an obedient servant,
and a loyal adherent
You’re my mentor
And I must follow you blindly,
Knowing for a fact that aside the human nature which we all have and possess
Your decisions are almost always perfect
And I rest well, knowing you are in charge;
with God’s help
Have you heard that life is a see-saw
If you hive and strive to lift
Then the other should do same?
How about both palms needing the other?
That if the left washes the right
Then the right should do same
In every way you’ve been that
Taking a step when you should
And slowing down when you need to
In fact you do more than wash my hands.
You are the strength that keeps them up.
Before we met I had faint dreams
Dreams that mine would be a lover of God
That is no more a dream, but perfect reality.
I must thank God, and you.
April was blessed on the fourth
When the heavens sent you forth
the demons of the world could not sleep
because your shine is a torment to darkness
and a blessing to me and lovers of light.
Like the Dodo you like, you’ll remain my favorite
Now, forever and always
Love you now, and until I draw my very last breath. But if by chance the rules change, I’ll love to marry you again and again in a thousand lifetimes.
Happy Birthday anniversary. Best wishes...
