Yep, another piece I made for Basketbolaji Comics. But this joke is really Nigerian and if you're not Nigerian you'll be needing this explanation.
About two months ago this was a trend in Nigeria, and it went quite global too, because Nigeria is such a great online influence.
This Nigerian footballer even celebrated a Europa League goal with the words from the trend on his shirt:
It was one of the funniest things ever.
The joke is, there's a Christian church founded in Nigeria with multiple branches in Nigeria and a lot of other countries. It's called Lord's Chosen for short.
They are known for being very confident and braggadocios with the belief that they are bigger than life because they attend that church.
They call themselves "Chosen".
They trended online because some testimonies made in that church at that time were so interesting and unbelievable that the video got shared and talked about so many times online.
One of the testimonies was a woman who said she was in an exam hall and couldn't answer the questions, so she told the questions:
I am a chosen, I am a chosen, this question, who are you?
And that was how she got her miracle, a spirit appeared and told her the answers to the question. LMAO.
Funny shit, but she has said this happened in a dream and not in real life, but people didn't get that part. They spread the video as if this woman was saying this thing happened in real life.
So the jokes about this stuff was always about someone bragging to their problems by saying they are "a chosen" and asking the problem who it is.
So this comic piece should be the craziest exaggeration of this stuff.
