Watching the news is really important because knowing what is happening around you is important. It keeps you informed and information is something that can bring a lot of benefits.
Watching the news is great especially if you're not someone who believes everything you see and if you're in control of your emotions enough to not let fear mongering and bad/exaggerated news tamper with your emotions.
