Hello friends,
Today, I did not go to the hub where I was doing my internship. Instead, I went to help at Happy Customer Supermarket, a newly registered supermarket that now accepts HBD as payment. I volunteered as a salesperson, attending to customers, helping new shoppers understand how to use HBD, and running other errands.
My day started early. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to do my morning chores before heading out. First, I washed the dishes, making sure the kitchen was neat. Then, I swept the compound, gathering all the dirt and leaves into one place. Since there was a lot of litter, I burned the trash so the compound would be clean.
While I was still sweeping, my dad called me for morning prayers. I stopped what I was doing and joined the rest of the family to pray. After prayers, I went back to finish cleaning the compound and burned the rest of the litter.
After that, I went inside to clean the toilet and bathroom. I was supposed to clean them yesterday, but I woke up late, so I only had time to wash the plates before going out. I didn’t want to leave it undone again, so today I made sure to clean both the toilet and the bathroom properly. I didn’t spend too much time on it, but I made sure everything was fresh and neat.
Once I was done, I brushed my teeth, then had breakfast. I ate quickly because I didn’t want to be late. After eating, I took my bath and got dressed for the day.
I left the house and arrived at Happy Customer Supermarket at 8:47 a.m. When I got there, I saw that the place needed some tidying up, so I swept the floor and made sure the area was clean before customers started arriving.
As the day went on, I started helping out with different tasks. Some customers were new to HBD payments, so I explained how they could use HBD to pay for their items. Some were confused at first, but after I explained, they understood and were happy to try it.
I also helped to arrange some items on the shelves and made sure the products were in the right places. Some customers asked for help finding certain products, so I showed them where to get what they needed. It felt good to be useful and to help make shopping easier for them.
By the end of the day, I was tired but happy. It was a long day, but I enjoyed helping out. I felt proud that I was able to assist customers and also learn more about how a supermarket operates.
Before leaving, I checked around to make sure everything was in order, then I packed up my things and headed home. When I got home, I took another bath, ate dinner, and relaxed for a while. It was a good day, and I look forward to helping out again soon.
