But a lot of things changed for me when I became more self conscious. I became more alert and productive because I changed how I saw and did things. When it comes to discipline, I can boldly say I’m one discipline person now. With the kind of discipline I have, especially when it comes to completing tasks and meeting deadlines, you’d think there’s a gun to my head.
For me, it’s more like I can’t have my peace of mind if I have pending tasks. So, the only way put my mind at ease is to get it done and go on with my daily life. I would say this is solely based on the kind of discipline I have. I love to get things done on time instead of leaving them till the last minute because I have had to experience the effects of procrastination and I didn’t like them at all.
I didn’t do away with my procrastinating habit in just a day. It took a lot of time and these few tips helped me and I think they might be of help to someone out there. First, you need to be discipline in all you do. Once you make plans , make sure to go along with them because once you start messing up the schedule, it’s going to be a recurring event.
Next, you need to find a balance. When it comes to completing tasks. Sometimes just thinking about what is to be done makes you exhausted even before you get started. The trick to this is to break the task down and work in bits. Make sure to work at your own pace and effectively while also taking breaks. This would help a great deal. As they say, little drops of water make a mighty ocean.
With these tips in place, you’re a step towards getting rid of procrastination in your life. The rest is up to you to make it work out. I hope this helps, thanks for your time.
