I think that it must be the longest that I've gone without posting since my first days on the chain. I've always been an advocate of consistency to achieve success.
But sometimes life gets in the way of that consistency and you have to step away from what you want to be doing. I love hive and writing but summer is a busy time.
It does have an effect though. You can see where the last earnings from writing finished with the seven day payout factored in. It goes from earning 9-10 when i was posting to about 2 per day from curation. A 75% dip in earnings which is not where i want to be.
I have often written about where i want to be in life and working forty hours a week in a job i don't want definitely isn't it. We only have one life and i want to spend it doing the important things.
Enjoying my life and my family.
Traveling the country and seeing the sights.
Playing golf and drinking pints.
Getting fit and healthy to keep it going.
Important things. Everything else is just noise. It's interesting how fast you can lose a good habit though. It's like going out drinking and the healthy food goes by the wayside. Weeks of hard work can count for nothing once you lose it. Break the routine and it's very hard to get it back.
Like a recovering addict it has to be one step at a time. log into the system. Get some words on the page. Turn up the next day and do the same again until you build back up the healthy habits and stop wasting my time scrolling on the phone instead of putting my time to use.
I'm not even the worst for scrolling but i have found myself getting more and more drawn into the time wasting aspect of it all. Partly from trying to stay on top of a few tap to earn games on TON. And partly from getting sucked down the Instagram rabbit hole. An app i used to never even have.
It's my own fault but no time like the present to get back on track again. The price of hive might be down again but 1 Hive = 1 Hive.
And since the price dropped so low i couldn't resist converting all of my HBD for another 10K and hope that it pays off over the summer to convert back at a higher price.
Until then i will try to post a few times this week and build back up to daily posts as well as dive back into crypto. Apart from a few tap to earn games i have really pulled back over the past few months. I would love to see something released on hive that would get my focus back and bring in some new users and revenue as well.
All we can do is hope for now and keep stacking.
