Welcome to Max and Izzy. Names TBD.
We're currently discussing names for the two lovely little kittens that I picked up two days ago. Jess wants to call one Max after the chief medical officer in New Amsterdam which is the show we are after spending a lot of weeks watching. I'm ok with that name to be fair but it only makes sense to pick the other name form Grey's anatomy which we spent months watching during lockdown. Plus spinoffs.
It’ll take 19 days, 16 hours, and 10 minutes (28321 mins) to watch the Grey’s Anatomy Universe, including all the episodes, special episodes, and spin-offs.

I'm leaning towards, Izzy, Yang or Grey so far but we'll see what fits.
I've been on the lookout for some new pets for the house since September but it's actually hard to find kittens here at the moment. I was expecting people to be trying hard to find homes for extra kittens but it's been the opposite. Without paying a lot of money for kittens i messaged a few people that had them up as free to good home and was too late or no response.
Times have changed.
I even messaged a cat sanctuary in the area that had posts on Facebook about needing funds and homes for their cats and kittens but she refused to rehome them unless they were kept inside. I will have them inside for the first few weeks but after that we have a large garage that i will move them to in time once they are settled into the area and not likely to stray. There is no rush but cats belong roaming outside and not trapped inside a house.
It was good to pick up these two on Wednesday since the ad was gone in the first day. I was just lucky to see it early and be able to call out for them that evening. We also wanted to get two as they like the company and are less likely to stray when they have a sibling here.
Even now they are very nervous and don't like when they can't see the other one. You can here them meowing as soon as they split up to find each other but they are starting to settle nicely. They are wandering about a lot more and playing when the kids have gone to bed and the house gets quieter.
It's always nice to have animals around, especially when you have kids and our two love them. Dogs are a huge commitment and it's not the right time to be adding that kind of stress to our life for a few more years. So for now, cats are the best way to go.
