Cómo preparar carne mechada al estilo venezolano.//How to prepare shredded beef Venezuelan style.

Hola querida comunidad de HIVE, hoy he preparado una carne mechada, para guardarla en mi nevera y utilizarla para los rellenos de los desayunos o meriendas de mis hijos, espero que disfrutes de esta preparación, el resultado ha sido exquisito, se lo aseguro.

Ingredientes:

  • 500 gramos de carne de res (falda)
  • 1 cebolla
  • 10 tomate pequeños
  • cebollín
  • 1 diente de ajo
  • 5 hojas de espinacas
  • Sal al gusto

Paso a Paso:

Comencé ablandando la carne, en una olla con agua y sal al gusto, por 20 minutos aproximadamente.

Mientras se cocina la carne, sigo picando los aliños para sofreírlos, empiezo con el ajo y la cebolla, luego añado el cebollín al sofrito.

Una vez que la carne ha reposado, empiezo a machacarla un poco, y luego empiezo a desmenuzarla con la ayuda de un tenedor, (esta es la parte más larga de la preparación).

Luego de desmenuzar la carne, la agrego a la sartén con los aliños ya salteados, agrego los tomates previamente picados, así como un poco de caldo de carne, que ha sobrado de la preparación anterior, agrego un poco más de sal y dejo que la carne se cocine por aproximadamente 10 minutos.

Resultado Final:

Así es como preparo la carne mechada para los desayunos de mis hijos, en mi país Venezuela es una deliciosa opción como relleno de arepas, empanadas, pasteles y es el ingrediente principal del plato tradicional venezolano: El pabellón criollo.

Hello dear community of HIVE, today I have prepared a shredded meat, to keep it in my fridge and use it for the fillings of my children's breakfasts or snacks, I hope you enjoy this preparation, the result has been exquisite, I assure you.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of beef (flank)
  • 1 onion
  • 10 small tomatoes
  • chives
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 5 spinach leaves
  • Salt to taste

Step by Step:

I started by tenderizing the meat, in a pot with water and salt to taste, for approximately 20 minutes.

While the meat is cooking, I continue chopping the seasonings to sauté them, I start with the garlic and onion, then I add the chives to the sauté.

Once the meat is rested, I start to mash it a little bit, and then I start to shred it with the help of a fork. (this is the longest part of the preparation).

After shredding the meat, I add it to the frying pan with the seasonings already sautéed, add the previously chopped tomatoes, as well as some beef broth, left over from the previous preparation, add a little more salt and let the meat sew with the seasonings for approximately 10 minutes.

Final result:

This is how I prepare shredded meat for my children's breakfasts, in my country Venezuela it is a delicious option as a filling for arepas, empanadas, pies and it is the main ingredient of the traditional Venezuelan dish: the pabellon criollo.

An interesting dish indeed. I don't think I've ever tried Venezuelan food before :) It looks really similar to pulled pork. You mentioned it being served as a filling? Looks like it'll go well with burger buns too! :D

Esto es una verdadera delicia, presente en el pabellón criollo así como en las famosas arepas llamadas "peluítas" ¿a quién no le gusta la carne mechada?

Me gusta que le hayas añadido espinaca, no sé como quedarán de sabor ya que no las he probado así, pero supongo que le añadirá un extra de nutrientes.

Yo amo demasiado la carne mechada, sobre todo cuando se acompaña con los contornos que convierten la carne en el plato de pabellón criollo. Se ve que te quedó deliciosa, sin embargo no he probado la carne mechada con espinaca es un buen plus nutritivo,tal vez lo pruebe cuando haga este plato. Muchas gracias por compartir!
