After 5 years of patiently waiting for a child, baby Zoe finally came! You can imagine the joy, the laughter, and the smiles and happiness that came with this bundle of joy. It's usually a difficult phase for TTC (trying to conceive) moms. There's this kind of joy that children bring into a home, and every woman after her marriage would desire to be a mom soon, and when this expectation continues to linger, it becomes a concern and so worrisome, especially when your doctor confirms that you are medically okay but still have no pregnancy.
After I got married to my husband, I conceived in the following month, I didn't experience what it feels like to be an awaiting mom, but my sister-in-law and some of my close friends did have such an experience, and being close with them, I can understand the pain, emotional trauma, and depression some of them go through. If you are unfortunate to have in-laws who aren't understanding in my part of the world, they will make your situation unbearable, as if you are the giver of children. Baby Zoe's mom happens to be a close friend, and through her five years of waiting, I journeyed with her, providing all the encouragement I could and assuring her that God would remember her. One thing I love about her is that during her waiting moment, she developed this strong faith and never got tired of doing her best to ensure that she tried whatever her doctor said she should do and praying consistently.
On Mother's Day, this woman will still celebrate it with faith, as if she already has a child, and she never fails to extend kindness to some less privileged moms. The way she handled the situation was quite commendable and is what any woman in such a situation should embrace, remaining positive both in mind and in action.
To mark baby Zoe's first birthday, friends and kids were invited. It was such a nice moment with different activities by the kids.
Zoe's mom couldn't stop expressing her happiness, and she took us into her waiting period experience and her nine-month journey experience as well. Her story was quite emotional and encouraging as well.
The fun activities by both the kids and some parents were so exciting. Personally, I felt the party shouldn't end soon. It wasn't a big kind of party, but simple and lively.
Prior to yesterday, which was Zoe's birthday, I went to get some gifts for the awaiting prince, and I am sure he will enjoy this kid's game.
It was a nice moment with the birthday boy, and I pray for every mom expecting such a gift to receive it at an unexpected time.
