Still in the week of hive learners' 1st year anniversary of her weekly featured contest, I will be sharing with you my five excellent authors who have influenced my life through their contents in this community, as this edition topic demands. The Hive Learner Community has proven to be a safe space for grooming content creators. It will interest you to know that coming up with the five authors I will discuss below was a very big challenge to me, as I have a good number of amazing authors in this community whose works have in one way or another shaped my mentality for the better. So in case you didn't make it to my list, do not worry about that; we are all amazing authors, but I am limited to mentioning just five.
So let's have a quick review of these authors on my list. Shall we? ...
@starstrings01 is one of my favorite authors in this community. Is either quality post or none. I have read many of his posts, and the message I received from them keeps ringing in my memory to this day. Have you also come across any of his tutorial posts about newbies? I bet you, most of those tutorials are not only meant for newbies but for everyone in this blockchain. They are always enriched with points to accommodate both newbies and oldbies who are still making a lot of mistakes in the blockchain. A good example is this post of his titled How to Improve Your Engagement Game:An Important Skill for Every Newbie on Hive! Part 1

In this post, he explained what quality engagement is all about and the need to maintain a high level of engagement while balancing your physical life. He talked about planning days for posting and days for engagement in any community of our choice. He also discouraged people from making spammy comments and other types of irritating comments on the blockchain, just to fulfill all righteousness. It's no longer news that quality engagement is one of the best ways to grow in this space. Starstrings took his time to educate people on the need to step up our engagement game. The post has had a special place in my heart ever since I read it, and it has influenced my engagement activities positively in the hive ecosystem.
@bruno- Kema is another wonderful author in this community, and his posts always have a lesson to learn from them. He loves to relate his contents to real life, and that's amazing. There is no day that I read from him that I wouldn't learn a writing skill from his content. He has grown to the point of publishing books, which I am eagerly awaiting as soon as possible. One of his posts that touched me so much is this one, titled Parenthood Will Be An Upgrade
Bruno talked to me personally about this post. He mentioned that children's physical social lives should be encouraged and not only on social media. I have been caging my children inside the house due to some certain reasons; however, my parents didn't cage me. I have found ways to do better with their physical relationship with other kids after reading his post. He also talked about comparisons. Parents often compare their children with other children, forgetting that no two children are the same. One more point I picked that resonated with my first child is allowing children to make their choice after secondary school whether to go for skills or further their education in the university. There were lessons for both parents and intending parents in this post by Bruno. Read to find out more.
@princessbusayo is one lady I admire so much in the HL community. The way she approaches topics with deeper thoughts is so amazing. I am always looking out for her posts, as I love the way she relates most of her topics to her practical life experience. I have been your secret admirer, princess; you are a good author, and I have been impacted by your writing severally. One of her posts that influenced me was titled Projecting my Future.

She shared her work in progress on what she plans for her future. Her investment and savings lifestyles are a hint at a brighter future. One major thing I picked is that none of our plans can work out without action. It goes beyond saying your wish without effort, as laziness never brings results, but hard work does. It was an impactful post for me.
@olujay is another articulate writer I have known in this community. He may not be a regular poster, but whenever he participates in HL contests, it's usually outstanding. His use of English and his approach to topics paragraph by paragraph always make me question my medulla oblongata. I have got one of is post he wrote last year that stuck to my brain till date. Here is the post:... Let Me Fix It

The young Olujay, as a child, discovered his interest on his own time and worked his way through it. He loved to fix anything electrical at home, and even when he went on blowing fuses at home, he didn't give up, and I love the fact that his parents supported his area of interest. What started out quietly as a child turned out to be his career as an engineer at the moment. I learned to support my child in his interests, even at a young age, so that in the future he wouldn't struggle. It was a post full of influence for me as a mom too.
@burlarj is one other amazing author I have met in this community who will give only his best entries. Burl is full of wisdom, and I admire him for that. He made a post one day that made me sit down with my son and give him some words of wisdom. Here is the post. Do not become that thing you hate.
Burl talked about bullying in this post, and as much as we detest bullying, we shouldn't also bully others. As a mother, I wouldn't want to hear any report that someone bullied my son, and so I made an effort to draw his attention not to bully others too. I have been talking to my son from time to time about this since I read that post. It indeed influenced me in such a way that I loved it.
These are my five favorite authors, among others I didn't mention here. From what I shared, you will agree that their posts are full of impact and that people can learn a thing or two.
The HL community has produced great writers in the past year, and I am happy to be among this family ❤️.
